Right Side # 5 |
I appliqued the bottom of this one and foundation pieced the top. Easy peasey.
Right Side # 10 |
I had to check out thatquilt for insights here. I paper pieced most of it and did a reverse applique of that
arrow in the center. I am shocked that it fit in so well. I guess practice does pay off. This is only block # 214/225.
Bottom Row # 7 |
This now leaves only 11 more triangles and then the final corner kite.
I am linking to myquiltinfatuation today for the first time.

Your work is excellent.
ReplyDeleteLove that 'sneaky' little triangle! I appreciate that you show and explain the details of your progress on these blocks!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fascinating process! I didn't realize that you really have to figure out your own plan for each block. I think that may keep it fresh. Great job, again!
ReplyDeleteThere are no patterns in the book. Just full sized drawings for each 4 1/2 inch block and 5x8 inch triangle. Most are easy enough to figure out. Without the software CD, I would not have been able to do the paper piecing. There are many different ways to do each of the blocks and I tried to teach as many ways as I discovered along the way. Finding thatquilt.blogspot has been a real bonus to Janiacs worldwide. I do not care so much for their freezer paper piecing method, but have been inspired to combine several other techniques. It becomes a challenge since each block is different and have to start from scratch each time. Not the same as what I am hand appliqueing. This is one of the reasons it takes a bit longer to do these.
DeleteYour triangles are going together beautifully, they sure look like a challenge! Also love your BTCT blocks from your last post.
