(Sorry) Female Is OK

Are you generally "afraid" of clowns, say, IT or any circus clown?
I always hated them, never thought they were funny, not even as four year old.
The Simpsons have some good episodes on this, right?

But a female clown might make a difference, what do you think?
She looks witty, clever... nice and friendly to me...
A female Canadian friend I met in Cuba decided to call me not friend but friendiene, hence this is a clowniene, do you agree?
This one taken at Fringe World.

Last time (2017? 2015?) I asked a member what "fringe" means.
"Strange" thing was it took him some time to answer!

Taking part again in Sami´s COLOURFULWORLD Monday Murals.

The trend in English these days is to retire the feminine version of professional titles. So I’d just call her a clown. I don’t see why a woman couldn’t make herself just as creepy as a man, if that was her goal in becoming a clown. My memories of the circus are that the clowns were actually pretty amusing, but I can see now how some circus goers would have a different opinion.

Actually you are right. In German it goes on my nerves with the extra feminine version, but that is because they take both - in the beginning only, too. It does not bring more info, just takes longer to read...or not, like "Kolummnistin/Kolumnist" or "Leserin/Leser".
But then "friendiene" was creative,I think, or funny, a Canadian-German mixture as we really differ Freund and Freundin for everyone, no matter if couple or not.

I don't find them scary Iris, but then I didn't see IT, Aimee did and as a result she is terrified of them male or female 😱😰

I've never been scared of clowns but I always found them more annoying than funny. Like bugs.

Yes, that clown is less irritating than her male counterparts usually are.
