Elizabeth Craft Designs Day

I'm back to my normal scheduling of ECD day.  I hope you enjoyed my little tutorial. For the next few weeks, I will be highlighting my cards made for the Sunny Days Release.  I made quite a few cards, and I will enjoy sharing them with all of you.

For today's project, I used the Everyday Elements Beetles & Bugs Combo, #2238, [This set comes with stamps and matching dies.] to make a couple of fun tags.

I used the Colorful Collective Paper for my background paper layering, and then stamped, colored, and cut out the bugs. The sentiments are from Flowers & Nature Stamp Set, and Playful Sentiments.

I do love some fun tags!  See you next week~

Elizabeth Craft Designs Tutorial

I have a tutorial over on the ECD blog for an easy way to use your designer paper.  I'm also posting it here as I'm not sure what the procedure is for tutorials with this company, plus I don't have a link until today, and I created this post a while ago.

Here is the end result:

Step one:  Chose your Designer Paper.  I used a few sheets from the newly release, Colorful Collective Paper Pad.  Cut a 1" strip from each sheet, and start tearing the edges.  [To get the “white” part, tear towards yourself.]

Step Two:  Once all your strips are torn, adhere them on to your card base.  [I used the Soft Finished Card Stock for my card base]

Step Three: Pick any stamp/die image that you want to use [I used the Everyday Elements, Beetles & Bugs Stamps with matching dies, and Picture Frames & Mats] and adhere those onto your card base.

If you are like me and physical coloring is a challenge, simply stamp your image on some (more) designer paper, and die cut the image out.  Yet another use for designer paper!

Step Four: Add a sentiment.  [I used a sentiment from Everyday Elements, Playful Sentiments.]

I do love this technique for using designer paper.  I have a lot in my stash and plan on using this in the future.  I hope you enjoyed my quick and easy tutorial, and give it a try yourself!
