Fruit Salad - A Finished Quilt

You guys! It’s finally here! After a year of blocks and scraps, my Fruit Salad quilt is finished!

And with a huge shout out to Lori - she encouraged the idea, walked me through photography sessions, and finally took over all the photography for the project.

I mean, seriously - these photos!

Oh, and also - this quilt!

I’m in love with the whole thing - the blocks, the pattern writing, the finished result. It was so much fun to create a block every month, and dive into those scrap bins. (They’re, of course, still filled to the brim.)

It’s just so bright and cheerful! There’s the purple from Lori’s Space Coast quilt and the photo memory quilt. The green with gold sparkles was from my Curved Log Cabin. The reds are charm pack pieces that I cut up for my Friendship Chain blocks. They’re all such good memories!

I’m just so, so in love with this. Massively. Big puffy hearts. I want to keep doing this forever! (Which - Veggie Patch! And I have another two years planned out after that!)

The backing is Michael Miller Cherry Dot, and the binding is a rainbow stripe I found in my stash. (Use it up!) My background fabric is Kona White, and everything else is scraps! It measures 68x74” - a nice big lap size.

So, you want to make one of your own? Of course you do - it’s gorgeous! The full PDF pattern is available here. Individual blocks are also for sale in my Payhip store if you don’t want to make the full quilt. (The full quilt pattern includes all the blocks and layout.)

Like Veggie Patch, a portion of the proceeds from both the individual blocks and the full pattern will be donated to the Hopatong Community Garden.

But wait - there’s more! Use the code NEWPATTERN to take 20% off for the first week! (For Fruit Salad only, until 2/8/19.)

So if your New Year’s resolution was to use up stash and scraps, get yourself a copy of the pattern and get to work! (If your resolution was to finish UFOs and not start anything new - well, that’s not much fun and it’s February so you’re probably over that anyway. So get a copy and get to work!)
