Little Squares

I had another one of those days when not a lot got done.  Quilting Burn Out?  LOL we all know I will never quit quilting but I do seem to have slowed down since the beginning of the year!

So I did cut some red strips to start making more little red/neutral blocks for Good Fortune for the next border – I think I need about 150 or so over what I had leftover from Bonnie’s instruction mistake – I got 33 more but still need to press.  Getting strips lined up here

Here is a stack made but will need to press them and make more!  I want to make all that is needed before I start putting them together for the borders so I can mix them up a bit.

And a little more progress on the Trellis Stripe crochet – this is so easy!! this will be a great project for sticking in a tote bag to work on in the car or wherever!

We have had the last of our cold days and nights for a short while but the weatherman is already saying snow on Thursday next week back to the 30’s for a day and 20’s at night I really kind of hate how it does that we are to have 4 days in the 60’s and then 30’s again!!! Yuck.

Thank you all that ordered your Bluprint subscriptions/supplies through my links I appreciate it and hope you will be happy watching all these video’s and classes.  I need to look and find the 3 classes I can get with my gift coupon codes still.  I was looking through a lot of crochet classes off and on and should think about a beginners knitting too I guess seeing as I keep saying I want to make some socks!!

We all have those days, Karen! Some of us more than others! But just look at how much you accomplish, even on a slow day!

Progress is always made little by little! Your reds and whites all laid out together are really appealing to me. I must need some red and white sewing in my life, lol! It is February after all! 🙂 Your crochet looks great with the addition of the purple and lavendar – I like them next to the greens!

You did get a lot done with all those little squares and your lovely crochet plus your quilting. Boy that sounds like a lot to me! I spent a lot of my morning just talking to my daughter on our Portal. Its so nice to see her and talk to her at the same time. We like it a lot better than skyping. I don’t think you ever will have quilt burn out, maybe just starting other hobbies too. Life is fun. Enjoy yourself today.

It seems i get slower and slower. I think i need a change of direction. I still have a half a dozen quilt tops to quilt. They are great winter projects. But i really want to do some small projects like make some pillowcases or do some cross stitch. As always love seeing your hand quiktinquiktilting stitches

sometimes I think after many years of quilting we kind of change where we are going with it – I used to applique all the time and now I can barely do that. Right now it seems like I just want to use up stash and clear some of it out! I only have 2 quilt tops waiting to be quilted I think and then Good Fortune will be added to that soon too – I would like to take my time finishing up the two medallion quilts too and make some easy ones too.

I have a friend who did one of BH mystery quilts and ended up with a trigger thumb from burn out. She never finished the quilt.

Probably the crazy winter weather extremes!

I would be done with it now except for the fact that I am making it larger so I am doing good – it will get done I always finish a quilt when it gets this far 🙂

I’m interested to see how your Good Fortune quilt will turn out. Thank you for linking up to the Peacock Party.
