Morning readers,
Earlier this week I had an "accident" with my snippets box ... it was top heavy and tipped over so I thought I should go through it and weed out the bits which (on reflection) I'm unlikely ever to use, sort them in to sizes and/or colour families. It's amazing what you find. I found the leftover snippet of masterboard (using Paper Artsy fresco and pebeo iridescent paints and Dylusions stamps) which was virtually THE perfect size for the ATC below, I merely shaved off a tiny border ... the bright blue panel was also less than a cm too big - how ever had I failed to notice this before? So, aside from tossing some of the less usable snippets I've used two to make the ATC below .....

My Artist Trading Card |
- ATC blank
- Snippets of card in bright blue and a leftover piece of a painted masterboard (which was created using acrylic paints in blues and white + iridescent pink and Stampers Anonymous stamps with white paint, various bottle tops used to create the painted circles too)
- On the bright blue layer I stamped the Kaisercraft mini grid image using Ranger Archival cobalt blue ink
- On the masterboard I stamped the Sheena Douglass circles image (from LBS "Grunge Band") also using the cobalt blue ink
- I stamped the sentiment (CardzTV "Just Saying") using Versaclair nocturne ink, sprinkled with clear embossing powder and then heat set
- Finally, to add a bit of glamour I took three glue dots and a piece of multicoloured foil (though I used the predominantly blue section) and "foiled" my ATC ...... I saw this technique somewhere just this week and thought (I have foil and I have glue dots - why not? It adds glamour, texture and shine - I LIKE it!

Such a clever card for LIM Kathy and love your two ATC's also. Yes amazing what we all hoard isn't it lol ;) Viv xx
The ATC is so pretty Kathy, and it just goes to show what can be lurking in a box somewhere. I must admit I have bits of card stored in several places and do need to sort and store it all together. I love your LIM card and your added image with the rain drops looks great with it, and I will certainly give the bouncing brayer technique a go too. x
A very happy accident indeed. Always goood to have a sort out, and you've got ATCs into the bargain. FAB.
Love both the ATC and the card using the LIM sketch inspired by your good self.
Happy Saturday.

Very cool card and ATCs. And, yeay, for using up some snippets! It is amazing what you can find in your stash and how things that you've had forever and never managed to use all of a sudden are perfect for a different project. Thanks for playing with The House That Stamps Built.
