Yay! It’s the last month and I saved the easiest one for the holiday season - NO half square triangles! That’s right, just straight rows and simple squares. You’re welcome!
However, easy for you doesn’t mean easy for me! On 12/19, I found out that my little pattern shop on Craftsy would be shut down on 12/28. (Yeah, that’s nine days. Technically five business days, since the email came in the evening and there’s, you know, Christmas in there.)
I always thought Craftsy would go to a fee per transaction, not shut down my shop entirely, so I spent yesterday scrambling around and looking at my options. For now, my patterns will be hosted on PayHip - starting with Grapes of Fabric. If you have one of my patterns in your Craftsy library, I would download it before the 28th. (They say all “purchased” patterns, including free ones, will still be available, but….)
So anyway - Grapes of Fabric! In the all new Katie Mae Quilts PayHip shop!
(And thank goodness for my robot minons - even though I’m furiously typing away, updating URLs, my kitchen floor is still being mopped and my living room is getting vacuumed.)
As usual, I am using the same neutral (Kona White) in all my blocks. I highly recommend using a wide variety of purples to make each “grape” distinct. Usually, I use 3-4 pieces of each scrap, but in this block, I limited myself to two in every shade of purple, from lavender to red-violet.

If you’re joining me in these blocks, please use #fruitsaladquilt on Instagram or comment here so I can find your blog! I plan on posting one block a month, free on PayHip until Jan 31, 2019. In December 2018, there will be a layout pattern for the entire Fruit Salad quilt, as well as more specific yardage.
