Nature Friday, Japanese Garden Style

Welcome to Nature Friday, where we get to meet new friends and share a picture or two of what nature looks like around Blogville.

Earlier this week, Mama went back to see what April is looking like at the Sosebo Japanese Garden(a part of the ABQ Botanic Garden). You won't believe all the pretty flowers she saw.

Walking into the gardens, Mama could see tell how much everything bloomed since her visit last month.

The Japanese Cherry Blossoms were a big favorite on this trip.

The peonies were a close second though. Sooooo much pink prettiness!

The little wooden bridge is definitely saying, "Spring has arrived"!

The waterfall is surrounded by color.

....and that's just the front of the garden, look what Mama found along the trails in back of the Koi Pond.

The leaves are filling out and before long, this will be all shady.

There are fresh leaves on all the Japanese Maple Trees

Between the greens and the pinks, Mama's head sure was swiveling!

There were even some oranges thrown in the mix!

Of all the pictures, this is my favorite...2 little pink bloomsd
 just like Sunny and I!

Of course, Mama made a short video of, ummmm all the videos(plus some extra pictures) she took BOL!

As always, feel free to visit our YouTube Channel HERE

Mama looks forward to her serene walks in the Sosebo Gardens and is in awe of how much things have bloomed in just the past few weeks.
I wonder what May will bring!

We are off to Southern New Mexico with ArCe to soak up some nature and hope everyone gets out and to enjoy some outside time this
Easter weekend too.

Travel Tuesday - Wrapping Up Tucumcari

*Yyyyyaaaawwwwn* Oh, hi there. I almost forgot, today we're going to wrap up our visit to Tucumcari. After our visit to Ute Lake, the pawrents and I went back to relax in ArCe with Sunny.
We took Sunny for a long walk around the RV Park and then, after Mama fed us dinner, the pawrents went into town and ate a delicious dinner at Del's Restaurant and took another little walk around town.

When they came back, we took a nice sunset walk before heading in to relax for the evening

The next morning we were up early to get ArCe ready for the drive back.

Mama buckled us up and we were on the road!

Mama put together a short video. of our trip:

We had a nice relaxing long weekend to Tucumcari. The pawrents found a few little things they will have the RV dealer tweak in the coming weeks, but all in all we were all very happy with ArCe and look forward to many years of adventure with her!!

Nature Hiking at Ute Lake

Welcome to Nature Friday, where we get to meet new friends and share a picture or two of what nature looks like around Blogville. This week, I am going to show you around Ute Lake, which is about 20 minutes northeast of Tucumcari. Saturday morning when we were thinking of what we wanted to do, Daddy suggested a hike at Ute Lake. When Sunny found out there would be a car ride involved, she decided a nice walk around the RV Park would be nice...followed by a nice nap.

After we got Sunny situated, the pawrents and I headed out to the beautiful Ute Lake!

It was pawfect weather for a hike! Blue skies and warm with a nice breeze coming off the water.

Ute Lake is about 13 miles long making it one of the longest lakes in New Mexico!

Plus, it has LIZARDS!!
Daddy says I scared all of them away because I am so very fierce!

Mama loved the rocky shoreline. Ute Lake is a popular place for humans to do everything from enjoying all the natural beauty to hiking and water skiing!

We took a hike along the water for the first part of our walk. Mama told me there were supposed to be lots of fishies in the lake. I kept looking, but didn't see any.

After we explored the water's edge, we took a ride to see the other side of the lake.

This side of the lake has cliffs that look over over Lake Ute
(this is much better lizard hunting terrain, but I still didn't catch one).

It had pretty views of the sparkling water!

The water's edge was a little more rocky on this side too!

Before I knew it, it was time to head back to ArCe for lunch and to see Sunny!!

Thanks for joining us in our hike around Ute Lake, it sure was a fun place to visit!

We hope everyone gets out to see some Nature this weekend!

Thankful Thursday - ArCe CheckUps

The other night, when Daddy and I were headed out on our walk, I noticed ArCe was missing.

I was worried because ArCe is always there to greet us when we head off for our walks. I asked Daddy if she was ok.

Daddy assured me she was ok and, that earlier that day, he drove her in for a check up and to get her oil changed. Mama made sure to follow them to brought him home.

Daddy told me not to worry, she would be back in her place at home today(Thursday).
This week I am thankful ArCe is healthy AND she
will be back in her place at home in plenty of time for our camping trip next weekend!
