Everything
And
Make
It
Also known as a squirrel project, it's when a quilter is inspired to stop whatever project she's working on and make something else. Right now!
My first Dreami projects this month contains a rainbow of fabrics, not all of these, but I love this photo of the fabrics I was picking from!

I found a feather pattern at one of our LQS, Eagle Creek Quilt Shop, and who doesn't love a good feather pattern these days! The pattern is Skylark, by Sewn Into the Fabric... It includes one feather, or an entire quilt of feathers. I had just the spot on our stairwell quilt gallery for a single feather to hang.
Picking out threads for the quilting:

The quilting is swirls and pebbles, and some brushstrokes on the feathers.

Quilted and bound. I did a rainbow binding, also:

The backing is this colorful whirlwind fabric:

Here's the spot where it now hangs. There's not much natural light in this area of the stairwell, so excuse the lamp in the photo!

And Dreami #2. Have you seen this new pattern from Lisa Amundson of Around the Bobbin? We just got them in at the quilt shop. With DD1's bridal shower approaching, I decided to make a pair of Hot Stuff Oven Mitts. These mitts are heat resistant up to 450 degrees:

Part of the pattern includes quilting the inside lining. Since I was making 2, I put the quilt sandwich on my longarm and quilted it up super quick.
The pattern comes with one silicone outer mitt. Extra silicone outer mitts are available, so you don't have to repurchase the pattern for each mitt.

Well, that's what I've been dreaming up this month. Sandra, who blogs over at mmmquilts!, has a "Dreami" link party on the last Saturday of every month, where I am linking up. Check out all the DREAMI projects there this month!
Grace and peace!!! ~Nancy
