Hippo Birdie! @ Little Red Wagon

This week at

it's Kate's turn to choose the challenge and she's saying, "Hippo Birdie!" which is just her fun way of saying she wants to see birthday cards with animals. So punny!

This is what I did.....

I recently won a $12 prize from Bugaboo Stamps (one of my faves - yay!) and snagged this image specifically for this challenge.  I'm kinda regretting my candle colour choices....definitely think I'll go with red and green next time.....I was just afraid it would look too much like a candy cane!  Sentiment is a rubber stamp (Not a digi?  *gasp*) which I heat embossed.  Doesn't show that well in the photo though.  I do love to heat emboss sentiments if they aren't computer generated.  Just gives them a little extra oomph, kwim?  Will admit I'm a bit worried about code violations with this card....looks like the candle could light the twine on fire any second now.  And that's definitely the reason I didn't add any extra flame to the wick, it definitely wasn't because I don't trust my drawing/adding skills.  We take fire safety seriously here at Huh.  So This Is a Blog.

Why not give our challenge a go this week and head on over to Little Red Wagon and link up?  And, while you're there, be sure to check out the wonderful projects the other Girlfriends have created.

  13. Congrats on your win, I love this little guy (I have a Christmas version of him). He looks like he's a bit concerned about the possibility of fire himself;}. Darling card as usual!

Okay, so ever since I started my blog (well, maybe not right from the get-go, it was probably a good six months or so before I realized you could change it from just "Leave your comment") I've tried to come up with something witty to type here.

*sitting with brow furrowed in concentration*...*staring at the ceiling while pursing lips*...*resting with head on hand while tapping foot*...

Nope, I still got nothing.
