Round one of my teacher gifts! For my kindergartner's main teacher, I got a gingham apple pin from Maker Valley, and decided to make a little pin display to go with it.
Amy from Diary of a Quilter designed the pin, and came up with a great tutorial to make a hoop display.
The only thing I changed was the fabric - I went to the local shop that does all the school printing, and asked if they had a flawed t-shirt. Once the shoplady understood what I was asking for, she came up with the perfect shirt - small logo, nice thick fabric (it was a polo shirt) but damaged so they couldn't sell it.
I used a 7" embroidery hoop, backed the shirt with a heavy fusible interfacing, and...that's it!
One cute little hometown pin display!
