Cards and more cards

This latest Freshly Made Sketches challenge # 371 inspired this card, Cowboy Thank You. It really is a simple card. I die cut the star shape, adhered it to a Kraft card (5 1/2" square), sprinkled Brusho colours; used spray starch to disperse the colours.  With dimensionals I added the guitar and boots (tried to make them look like leather and I am pleased to say they do :)) and piece of twine lasso. I used the Night of Navy band to anchor these and added a tag with Thank You stamped in Night of Navy. SU Stamp – Country Livin’

Today, I am entering the Freshly Made Sketch challenge #353 hosted by Jen Mitchell.

This was a nice and easy card to create. To start,  I embossed SU Whisper White cardstock using a no brand embossing folder 'Fireworks' which I highlighted with clear and gold Wink of Stella.
The balloon stamp is a really old one from Stampin Up. I stamped the balloons and the sentiment on Whisper White cardstock (before embossing), then using the SU Stitched Circle Label I die cut a circle out of part of the balloons. The circle was then was adhered with dimensionals to complete the balloons. This gives a dimension spotlight affect. The white cardstock is glued to a sky blue cards base. I am very pleased with the over all affect. I wish you can see the shimmer of the fireworks.

More of my watercolours

Today, there is a nip in the air and it is only the beginning of September! The leaves of the poplar trees around the lake are starting to turn colour and the nights are starting to get frosty. My husband  is happy as he gets  to play farmer and help our nephew with the harvest.

Today I want to share some of my paintings I did. Do tell me what you think by leaving a comment. I do appreciate receiving them. I now know where to look too! LOL
