Morning all
Yes, I am SOOOO over turkey (at least till next Christmas), we've had cold cuts with chips, with salad, we've had turkey sandwiches and yes, turkey curry too. I have to say that my interest in mince pies is waning too! Hubby bought the same (large) number as he always buys but I was a little "out of sorts" before Christmas so we didn't really get started on them till Boxing Day!
Hope that both your Christmas and New Year celebrations were splendid, that you had no hangovers and (if you made any) that you've not yet broken any of your resolutions .. it IS only the third!! We actually managed to stay awake until midnight and watched the spectacular London fireworks (albeit on TV), toasting the New Year in and then heading to bed - VERY Rock and Roll ... NOT!
Even availed myself of a New Year sale bargain over at Hobby Art Stamps (where there was a 30% off sale) but they (of course) have yet to arrive! Whilst I was chatting to a pal (electronically) about these stamps she told me about some stamps which she had succumbed to ordering in the same sale ... I realised that not only did I already own them but also that they had never seen ink .. making them (in the words of the lovely Darnell) NBUS ... Never Before Used Stash! ..... cue a mad dash to the ToC (particularly since the weather was pretty pants!) and the creation of the card you see below, I LOVE that Santa hat - can see it being deployed on other images sometime soon too!, sheep's pretty cool too!

My card |
And a closer view of the image |
The front, back and inside of my card along with the front and back of my envelope
Materials used:
- White C6/A2, 300gsm, card and matching sized envelope
- Two white card panels cut to fit
- One red card panel cut to mat
- Hobby Art image, hat and sentiment (from CS110D Baa Humbug) stamped using Memento tuxedo black - deploying my MISTI stamp positioning tool and a piece of post it cut out to use as a mask for my Santa hat.
- For the insert I also used the Paper Artsy JOFY17 sentiment, stamped using Memento tuxedo black ink
- Faber Castell polychromos pencils used to lightly colour sheep and to add grass "grounding" and to colour the Santa hat - I carried the colour through to the insert too, although the image was only partially stamped on the insert
- Stardust stickles to bling up the image
I'll be entering the above for the following challenges:-
- Use Your Stuff - Merry Christmas random selection challenge
- Dream Valley Challenges - challenge No. 169 - CHRISTMAS

What fun Kathy I love that sentiment with the fun sheep, and I know what you mean about overdosing on the Christmas food and longing just to get back to a normal diet...lol. x
Hi, Kathy! This is cute and fun. I hope you have a joy-filled and creative new year. Thanks for playing along at AAA Cards.
Fun grumpy sheep and fabulous sparkly Santa hat. Thanks for playing at AAA Cards.
Haha! Your sheep looks like he’s had a surfeit of Christmas food and drink too! How did I miss that sale? Not that I need any more stuff........
Bwahahahaha...I so love that sheep!!! Reminds me of Hubby :D Thank you for sharing it with us at Dream Valley challenge XXX
I got a chuckle out your friend triggering your memory that you had this NBUS! That happens to me, too, if I'm lucky. If I'm not lucky than I make the discovery on my own when I go to put away the duplicates I forgot I had ordered! But in this case, Kathy, seriously? How could ewe forget you had this super fun NBUS image?? LOVE this bah humbug dude with his schparkly Santa hat!! Hugs, Darnell
We must do something wrong, we never have any leftover turkey! Only had one mince pie though, not been in the mood for them this year. I only decided I liked them when I was 21. Until then, my Nana who was a great pastry maker used to make apple pies just for me! I resisted the HobbyArt sale, I already have the Baa Humbug set, he's just so grumpy isn't he! Your card looks fabulous and yep, that hat is so craftable x
