Superhero Babies

Anthony's classroom has a new kitchen to pretend play.
Inside the kitchen, there is a baby doll bed.
Anthony LOVES babies, and he loves baby dolls.

It seemed like a quilt for those babies was in order.

I found some leftover quilt blocks from a year ago, paired them with the leftover gray half-square triangle blocks, and made the front.
Pretty quick process.

I went downstairs to find a good fabric for the back.
I was going to do a simple blue, but then I saw a superhero scrap and thought it would be fun to put together a superhero/character back.

This took more time, but it was so fun to do!
I made Anthony a quilt for Christmas last year that I didn't finish.
It has blocks with superheros and characters on it.  But, the layout in my mind is NOT what the actual layout represented.
So, I have yet to finish it.  I think I'll be adding more like this on it, and maybe actually finish it this year...

We practiced with Woody the night before Anthony brought it to school.

I think the quilt measured about 16" x 20" or so.

What a happy little quilt. I love it. But I love most the picture of Anthony hugging Woody wrapped in that quilt. Priceless!
