Welcome to the start of another week

Morning all,

Hope you all had a terrific weekend. We certainly did - we were celebrating with the surrogates! A milestone birthday, a meal at a local hotel in a side room - a recipe for a fun day - thanks peeps, it was a fab day

A short while back I was faffing about at my ToC (that's Table of Craftiness) and did something fairly unusual (for me) in that I didn't use a black ink on my project (AT ALL) ...... I really liked the results and made a mental note to do it again sometime soon ... and here it is!

My card

The front, back and inside of my card along with the front and back of my envelope

Materials used:
  • White C6/A2, 250gsm, card and matching sized envelope
  • Two pieces of card (one white and one purple) cut to 14.2cm x 10cm
  • One piece of white card cut to 13.7cm x 9.5cm
  • Creative Expressions images (from the Urban Beats set - LOVE this set, so versatile) stamped using Ranger Archival mini inks: majestic violet, vibrant fuchsia and paradise teal
  • Paper Artsy splatter image (from HTPX01) stamped using the paradise teal ink
  • Stardust stickles to bling up the sentiment

I really like how these three coloured inks go together though I don't like how they stain my stamps. I read somewhere about inking with versamark first but I'm here to tell you THAT DOESN'T WORK!, which is such a shame.

I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:
  1. Sheepski - challenge No. 7 - USE SOME PINK ... hope I've used enough pink!
  2. A Bit More Time To Craft - challenge No. 53 - ANYTHING GOES
  3. A Perfect Time To Craft - challenge No. 10 - OPEN
  4. Crafts Galore - October challenge - ANYTHING GOES
  5. Addicted to CAS - challenge No. 121 - FAVE STAMP ... my fave stamp? the star image, I use it quite a lot ... oh and the sentiment ... and the "tyre tread" - I LOVE THIS WHOLE SET

And now ... yet another Christmas card for my 2017 quota .. I'm so NEARLY there that I can't give up now!

And a close up of my image
