Saturday chatter-day!

Hi there readers,

It's the weekend again ... AND the sun is shining .. well, it IS here!

A couple of crafting projects to share with you today ....

My ATC
Materials used:
  • ATC blank
  • Snippets of card in both pink and white
  • On to the white snippet I stamped the Katzelkraft rat image (KTZ179) using Memento tuxedo black ink
  • Faber Castell polychromos pencils used to colour image
  • That's Crafty Dinky faux brick stencil (TC026) through which I applied Memento dandelion ink using a brush
  • Stamplorations sentiment (it's all about YOU typed and boxed set) stamped using Memento tuxedo black ink
  • Black Pitt pen to doodle border around the sentiment boxes and the pink matted layer

I'll be entering the above for the following challenges:-
  1. Little Miss Muffet - challenge No. 172 - ANYTHING GOES
  2. Colour Crazy - challenge No. 38 - ANYTHING GOES
  3. Morgan's ArtWorld - challenge No. 19 - ANYTHING GOES
  4. Creative Fingers - challenge No. 137 - ANYTHING GOES
And now for another make ..

My card
And a closer view - to show the texture and glitter granules

The front, back and inside of my card along with the front and back of my envelope
Materials used:
  • White 15cm square, 250gsm, card and matching sized envelope
  • Two pieces of white card cut to 14cm square
  • Additional snippet of card with two holes cut out (using a circular die) 4cm diameter, to use as masks
  • Using Tim Holtz mini blenders I applied Distress Ink in squeezed lemonade to one circle, picked raspberry to another and then both colours applied to the overlapping circle.
  • Using the same masks (to confine the spray) I applied Crafters Companion spray and shine to the circles, to protect in transit
  • For the back of the card, insert and envelope I used MFT (party patterns) and stamped using Memento inks in dandelion, rosebud and tangelo
  • Imagine That sentiment stamped using Memento tuxedo black ink
  • Stamplorations stencil through which I applied Faber Castell glass bead glitter gel using a spatula - you can see the granularity in the close up pic above - it dries to a FABULOUS twinkly finish
  • Finally, the image panel was attached to my card using dimensional foam tape

I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
  1. Simply Less Is More - challenge No. 347 - SKETCH
  2. Crafty Catz - challenge No. 385 - ANYTHING GOES + OPTIONAL BIRTHDAY
  3. Just Add Ink - challenge No. 378 - TEXTURE
  4. Creative Artiste mixed media challenge - challenge No. 30 - ANYTHING MIXED MEDIA GOES - given I used stamps, inks, masks, stencils and glitter gel paste I'm hoping it's mixed media enough
  5. Kraftin' Kimmie - challenge No. 400 - DISTRESS INKS

Kraftin' Kimmie says you can use their theme OR their sketch OR both

I didn't use the sketch, only the theme
