Welcome to the First Sunday in June!

Hey there readers,

It has probably NOT escaped your notice but .. JUNE people!!! June!! What happened to the first half of the year? It's nearly gone and what have I done? Nothing like as much as I should have liked though I HAVE crafted a fair bit and that DOES make me happy .... as a pig in the proverbial but .. enough of that!

Got an ATC to share with you this morning .... it's a little summery. This is going to form part of the JULY themed challenge of SEASIDE with trading card buddy on the Isle of Skye - hope she likes it. The image has been in my collection a while but (to my recollection) has only previously been inked ONCE (hangs head in shame).

My ATC
Materials used:
  • ATC blank
  • Snippets of card: blue pearlescent, leftover DCWV blue patterned card from the Old World stack, white card
  • Stacy Stamps sailboat and birds and Stampers Anonymous sentiment stamped using Memento tuxedo black ink
  • Distress Inks: barn door, salty ocean, faded jeans, hickory smoke and pumice stone used "watercolour style" to colour
  • Derwent coloursoft pencils to add highlights, particularly to the sails
  • Diamond stickles to add highlights to the waves!
  • Tsukineko white gelly roll gel pen to doodle wavy border

I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:
  1. Uniko - challenge No. 41 - MASCULINE with the optional twist of FATHERS DAY
  2. Craft Rocket - challenge No. 38 - FOR MEN OR BOYS
  3. DL Art - June Linky challenge - BOYS or MEN
  4. CraftyCatz - challenge No. 373 - ANYTHING GOES with optional twist SUMMER TIME
  5. Simply Create Too - challenge No. 128 - SUMMER FUN

And another, for my themed ATC swap - this one is for the June "Take flight" theme"

Materials used:
  • ATC blank
  • Snippet of white card coloured with Distress Inks in tumbled glass, salty ocean and weathered wood
  • Water flicked from fingers, allowed to develop and then the excess blotted using paper towel
  • All images from Kaisercraft and stamped using Versafine onyx black ink

Enjoy June!

Two wonderful ATC's Kathy. I adore your prettily coloured sailing boat and love the white doodled border which finishes it perfectly. The second looks great with that silhouette skyline and the aeroplane and the water bleaching in the background looks really lovely. x
