Welcome to Week 2 of my Wednesday Wait Loss linky party! Together we can decide that the “wait” is over and that it’s finally time to conquer those long-put-off projects.

Let me start by telling you about my project from last week. Thanks to your encouragement, I got my President’s Blocks all pieced together!

I’m so thankful that at this year’s Guild Birthday Party, I did not have to hang my head in shame, and that I finally, finally had a quilt to show. I’ll need continuing your encouragement please to quilt this top in time for the Guild’s biannual quilt show in October.

But first I’ve got two very special quilts I need to finish for my besties. One quilt is for Kate, a friend of mine from the New Quilt Bloggers group and my online bee, Bee Inspired. A while ago, Kate and I decided to exchange mini quilts and I got started right away with designs. After learning she loved solids, I selected some from a local quilt store and got to work. I want the quilt to be a surprise, so if you aren’t Kate, click the cute kitty below to view the quilt. (If you are Kate, click at your own risk! <grin>) I know I can get this quilted quickly but I lack ideas. Please leave me a comment or shoot me an email with quilting suggestions to help me out.

My next quilt is not a surprise per se. Last year I participated in the Shadow Quilts blog hop and I made this quilt.

My best friend Alice fell in love with it, so much so that I just had to make her one too, using her favorite colors of teal and orange.

Alice hasn’t even asked me where her quilt is, despite the fact that she knows about it and many months have gone by. In fact, Alice even made a large version of the quilt for herself, while my quilt for her languishes.

So I need your help to push through and get these two quilts done this week. Help me get over this wait!

Before I review how to link up to Wednesday Wait Loss, I want to feature someone from last week’s linky. There were a lot of inspiring projects last week, and I hope everyone was encouraged to make some progress on them. The project from Anita @ Domestic Felicity really struck me though.

Last week Anita showed us this gorgeous fabric, and told us how she’d cut it up and made some blocks. She also told us how the gorgeous fabric wants to be pieced into a finished top, then quilted, and finally bound. Making blocks is as far as Anita’s gotten though, so I wanted to give her a good old “Get over the wait!” push of encouragement in hopes that she will have a completed top to show us sometime soon.
