Twofer Challenge #10 - Harvest

It has been nine months since I submitted card(s) for a challenge and this is my second attempt.
I was working on Thanksgiving cards and this image seemed perfect for Darnell's October challenge.
The main focus is the basket (SU! Basket of Wishes) and the orange card uses one of the stamps from the set, and the apples I drew. Several dies were used and images were colored with Copics.

Twofer Card Challenge - Hearts Challenge 2

For this challenge I used a die set from Recollections and it included the heart die and some stamps. I used two pieces of leftover background paper to die cut the hearts. The card on the left was paper that was smooched with distress inks, sprayed with water and then sprinkled with coarse salt. I  inked the detailed stamp with VersaMark and heat embossed with white embossing powder.  For the base card I dabbed distress ink on the inside of a small heart embossing folder spritzed with water and then laid the base card on top, dabbed with my finger and then wiped with a paper towel. When dry I attached two of the hearts and the third I attached to craft foam and then attached. Last I added the sentiment from Paper Smooches.

The second card is a piece of  watercolor paper with ink, and water on an embossing folder. You just tap the paper onto the ef you don't run it through the machine. This is one of my favorite techniques. I chose to use the heart dies to make a 3 leaf clover, and used a sentiment die for the stem. The sentiment is from Hampton Art.This piece was attached to the green cs and then the base card.

CAS Watercolour Card Challenge - February 2018 - HEART

Another flower card for CAS for the Watercolour challenge. I love painting flowers, and birds, and particularly with watercolours. The flower was stamped and heat embossed on watercolor paper. I painted with distress inks and an aqua brush. The image was die cut with a heart die from the company Wish. Many of the ladies in my card making group use this company and the prices are very inexpensive and they come from China. You may order ten things and they all arrive separately on different dates. No one has complained so far and the quality is good. I used a second die (10 in the set) and cut it from craft foam. Before attaching the image I stamped the sentiment.

Supplies:
Stamp - Stamplorations "French Marigold"
Ink - Distress inks, VersaFine
Sentiment stamp - SU!
Die - Wish
Paper - 90# watercolor, craft foam

CAS Watercolour - January 2018 - Birthday

I am beginning the new year by making and posting cards to new and old challenges. This watercolour card for Loll's challenge uses a Penny Black stamp. The flower was stamped with Stazon onto 140# wc paper.  I used a NBUS Kuretake watercolour set. The embossing folder is from Paper Studio called bracket frame.  I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment with Versamark and Ultra Detail gold embossing powder on white vellum.

Twofer Card Challenge #1

Congrats Darnell on your new challenge. I was prepared to use all my NBUS and then you switch gears. As I mentioned to you I am cutting back on card challenges and maintaining my blog BUT I would not pass up the chance to be challenged by you and your creative thinking.

The stamp I selected is Trio of Beauty by Unity Stamp Co. The card on the left was stamped, colored with copics, die cut and mounted onto black craft foam. The piece of SU soft suede was die cut with MFT wonky rectangle. I googled "feathers" and chose the feather colors of a red-tailed hawk. The base card is SU crumb cake. Sentiment I don't know.

The second card was stamped and heat embossed onto 90# wc paper and colored with Zig. This piece was die cut with a circle die and then SU tempting turquoise was cut with MFT cross stitch circle die. With mounting tape I attached the focus piece onto SU pumpkin pie and a snippet of dsp. The sentiment, part of the stamp set, was stamped and die cut.

Prayers to all those in the Santa Barbara area. Six months ago my husband I took our entire family to SB to celebrate our 50th anniversary at a lovely beach resort. One of the highlights of our trip was our sons surprising us by renting a limo/van. The driver drove us throughout SB, including Montecito and the charming community. Wonderful memories for our family but sadness for the residents.

Darnell's Fall 2017 NBUS Challenge

Okay another NBUS card for Darnell's challenge. This card was going to be used for the CLBH but it was not finished soooooo it is now. I used the cute Newton (cat) which I colored with copics and paper pieced the coffee cup and added the sentiment. I die cut this piece with a cross stitch circle die from MFT, and attached to a snippet of last years's fall paper. I added the yellow leaves (they don't look like leaves) and then added some bling. I used this as a birthday card for a friend whose birthday is 10/1 and she loves cats and coffees.

Supplies:
Stamp - Newton's Nook "Newton Loves Coffee" (NBUS)
Your Next Stamp "Thanks a Latte' (sentiment)
Die - MFT - Cross Stitch Circle
