Daffodil

We have had a real heat wave and even too hot to go
outdoors, so the best thing is to sit under the air conditioning
and craft, sending lots of warmth to you who are in the cold.

🌞
For my card I stamped the background using TH Distressed ink
and coloured my flower from Power Poppy with
Derwent Inktense pencils. These are the first pencils
I ever purchased years ago and just retrieved them from
their hiding place. They will certainly be used more.

After stamping my image I put it through the Scan n Cut machine
and cut around the flower, coloured then placed onto the
background with mounting foam.

I am entering my card into:

Power Poppy....winter blooms

Annie this is stunning - love your colours, and that bow is an amazing blue that sets everything else off to perfection.
Hope it cools down for you soon.

Wonderful daffodil card Annie! Love the blue/yellow combination and your stamped background. The daffodil is coloured so perfectly, you should definitely use your Inktense pencils again. Can't believe you got the scan and cut to cut round your flowers, I just couldn't get it to cut round stamped images at all so I've hardly used it.
Thanks for leaving little messages for me, they make me smile :). Debra x

Beautiful card, Annie! Daffodils were my favourite flower as a child and also happens to be the flower of my birth month - March. I still love them.

We don't have the luxury of air-con here so we are sweltering in the Brissie heat and humidity. I don't like going outdoors in the heat either.

Thanks for dropping by my blog. :)

I wish we could have some of your heat. We had snow this morning and heavy winds and a high tide surge starting as I write. It is supposed to hit the town above us and have evacuated 5,000 homes that could be flooded. We are hoping we are ok here. The other side of our town is also expected to flood about ten o'clock tonight. Love this card and the pencils have given a beautiful finish. I bought some of these pencils when we went to the factory at Derwent Water in the Lake District last year. Big hugs and keep cool, Carol S.xxx
