Handful Of Scraps

About the only thing I got to working on yesterday after getting the house cleaning stuff done was hexies!

The Handful of Scraps wall so far – the blue/brown on the left is new and I moved the light blue/orange to the lower left.  I had noticed for some reason that I left two neutral hexies off the bottom middle – I do not know how that happened – just noticed it looked weird when I took this photo – long way to go huh.  I will be linking to Sew Fresh Quilts , Jo’s Country Junction with UFO progress, and Quilt Fabrication: Midweek Makers and to Em’s Scrapbag, and Fort Worth Fabric Studio and My Quilt Infatuation.

Handful of Scraps

This is the one I was working on last night

This much left to do on The Final Frontier before I roll it down – on Monday night before I went to bed I did a tiny bit.

This area is the last area I was working on – well get back to it today.

More photos of the quilt show later today possibly – I need to look through them and see what is left.

Your hexie work is lovely as usual and the amount done is really growing 🙂

I think I will get this row done all the way around before I start to sew more to the body – then sew to the body and then extend out again – 8 more – I finished another one last night?

The hexies look fabulous Karen! And so exciting that Final Frontier is almost done!

Yes it is so nice to be almost done with this quilt – I will get back to my nightly quilting tonight – was too distracted last night with the political crap going on – I was about sick to my stomach – I should have shut it off and went in the back room and quilted instead!

Handful of Scraps is really coming along….I tried to count the hexies, and kept losing my place! Previously, I didn’t have a lot of trouble keeping track….I will give it another try…will let you know if I am successful!!

I haven’t been keeping track – I figured if I really wanted to I would add it by rows when I get done.

thanks! The Final Frontier is almost done now – one more week maybe before I take it off of the quilting frame – but I have another ready to take it’s place

Love the scrappy background hexies on this piece!! In studying the picture, it looks to me like you are missing hexies, but have added two hexies to the bottom middle that you don’t need?

    • Karen Nov 11, 2016 @ 9:55

you are right – I noticed it the other day but just by glancing at it I thought I needed to add two more to that row – but I need to take them off – thanks for noticing and letting me know –
