Noodlehead Runaround Bag
This is my second bag. It's really easy to make. I even made the double-fold bias binding myself! It just took me forever to get around to ironing it!
Outside is a home dec fabric remnant.
Inside is a rayon fabric remnant
AND
a zipper pouch!
If you've ever wanted to try making bags, and are a COMPLETE beginner like me, give Noodlehead patterns a try. They are easy to understand, and in all honesty, seam allowances in sewing are MUCH more forgiving than in quilting!
Charity Quilt
The Comfort Quilters of the West Houston Quilt Guild give out kits to make simple quilts.
However, I am not a simple quilt maker. I often try to do WAY too much, maybe because I have so many ideas.
I pulled some extra fabric from my stash and had great fun playing with free motion quilting on this one!
You can really see the free motion quilting on the back.
Work in Progress
This are my blocks for Paula Barnes' Red Crinoline Quilts pattern Kennesaw Mountain.
There are a LOT of flying geese. A LOT.
I mean, I almost expect it all to fly away!
All made one at a time with the rectangle/squares method.
So it's super scrappy!
However, I wish I had known about the 4-at-a-time flying goose method when I started.
Maybe for the next flying geese-heavy quilt!
Still need to piece together and add borders, but it's nice to see all that hard work is so pretty when it comes together!
LQS Needle Case
This is something I'd love to make and have, but we're never going to get around to making everything!
This was available the last time I was at my LQS in early September.
Sew cute!
Now I won't lose my needles in my pincushion.

I've been participating in the
