More Circles

I think you can tell I really want to get Final Frontier done, I think all I have been doing lately is working on circles.  When one quilt is nearing the finish line I want it done so I can concentrate on others – I am working on too many as we all know!  Why I ever got going on so many at once once again is beyond me but every now and then it happens and I know I will be getting started on the Edyta Sitar quilt soon that I have been showing all of you too.  It is called Flower Garden but for now I am just referring to it as Hexies!

Yesterday was a busy day and I didn’t get started appliqueing circles until late afternoon.  I had grass to mow, weeds to pull, poison ivy to spray and yesterday morning was a cool morning for work outside – a little bit of a cool front in the state – the high the last two days was only near 70 and yesterday morning  I was mowing grass in jeans and a sweatshirt! yes a sweatshirt in early May – not something I normally wear.

Plus the four in the project box I think I have a total of 15 or 16 and I need about 5 more I think for the next row, maybe less?  I will work more on them this week – I will take a break now and then from making the circles to putting rows together.

I had to put on a jacket when I got out for my walk yesterday. Brrrr Thankfully warm weather will be returning tomorrow … it will be gorgeous this weekend, and I can’t wait. I love having the windows open, wearing shorts and flip flops.

I don’t work on nearly as many quilts at one time as you, but I do share that drive to get a quilt finished so I can start another one.

I haven’t commented in a while (although I have been reading 🙂 ). I agree that its odd that its May and you’re having to wear a sweatshirt. Here in upstate NY, we’re also in a similar situation…I’ve had to keep wearing my lighter-weight sweaters to work during the week as our highs are only in the upper 50s. After a warm winter, it seems odd to have a very cool spring!

Your quilts look great! Love the circles and I think it will look really nice once you have it all together!

Love seeing those circles grow in number!
And the steady progress on quilting Winter Wonderland!
I finished the hand quilting on my table topper, and got three sides of the binding done (had to take a break yesterday for some weeding and pruning….we had over 2 inches of rain Monday night here in Virginia, making it much easier to pull up the weeds, so I got a lot accomplished). I will finish up that last side of binding this afternoon.

    Love your Winter Wonderland.

Don’t we all have too many quilts going at once? Who knows why we do it! But you’re making nice progress on yours
