Finished quilting my rail fence

Finished my rail fence, a design by Sujata in her book Cultural Fusion.  I love it!  So, check off another UFO finished! This will be donated to H2H.

Another UFO I dug out to work on is from the book, One Block Wonder.  Here is my attempt:
this is the ugliest thing I have ever seen! and I see no purpose in finishing it.  I love these quilts, but the fabric I chose just isn't right  The fabric is from the Alexander Henry collection, which I googled and discovered lots of crazy designs.  I think I picked this one up at a yard sale ... so since I'm not in love with it, I guess I could make a zillion hot pads?
Almost done making all the squares for my UFO orange peel quilt, so hope to get that one out of the way next week.  Pretty soon I can start a new project...!

I love your rail fence quilt, it is great for someone in need! Thanks for joining in H2H this year!

And now for your one block wonder - what if you put a solid or grunge border between each of your blocks, something a little bright to set them off? It would look like a honeycomb and might be just the thing to let the cool kaleidoscope effect of the blocks stand out instead of mushing together....
