Gravity: Quilted and Bound!

Gravity came home from the longarmer last week.  I am thrilled with the pantograph they suggested.  I think I even like it better than the quilts I've seen that are custom. The quilting hides a few of my piecing imperfections.

The back is a black and white wide-back print, so I didn't have to piece it.

I love that the backing is a list of color names.  I think my son will love it too!  It reminds me of the song from Joseph where they name the colors in Joseph's coat.

It was red and yellow and green and brown
And scarlet and black and ochre and peach
And ruby and olive and violet and fawn
And lilac and gold and chocolate and mauve
And cream and crimson and silver and rose
And azure and lemon and russet and grey
And purple and white and pink and orange
And red and yellow and green and brown and
Scarlet and black and ochre and peach
And ruby and olive and violet and fawn
And lilac and gold and chocolate and mauve
And cream and crimson and silver and rose
And azure and lemon and russet and grey
And purple and white and pink and orange
And blue

I finished the binding today.  It took me three and a half movies to sew down the binding by hand, and I think it is the best binding I've ever done.  Three of the four corners are almost perfect!

Yeah! I love the quilting! I didn't think a panto would work on Gravity, but it works fabulously! And oh my, the backing is a perfect fit, too! What is the name of the fabric? Great job in finishing with the QAL!

Congratulations! It is spectacular. I am a bit jealous - the quilting has barely been started on mine.

Quilt is awesome but I'm more impressed you knew the words to that Joseph 's song!

I made my son a costume of Joseph's coat of many colors for Awanas harvest party when he was 6, now he's 17, so many memories...such a lovely quilt you made!

It sure feels good to finish them up doesn't it? I LOVE the panto you picked, it really works on this quilt. That backing is neat too, reminds me of all the Kona names that I'm working with on my current project. Great job!
