Happy 50th Birthday....
Best thing about today...chilling with my bestie again on a Saturday...we snuck in a 30 minute power walk...stamped..chatted..laughed and created... So for me, it was another duo challenge ~ Just Add Ink's sketch challenge coupled with Fab Friday's colour challenge: Marina Mist, Night of Navy and Hello Honey. Since it's a milestone Birthday, thought I would try out a shaker card to pizzazz the card. Since this is for a guy, I went with embossing folders to spice up the card as I don't have any guy stamp sets nor designer papers..so out came the Big Shot and the Chevron and the Honeycomb embossing folder...and to complete the card...stamped the Dictionary background onto the Hello Honey banners.. Voila!
Deets: All Stampin Up
Thanks for dropping by and taking the time to leave some blog love.
Smiles.

This is such a great card ,Sheri! It's an awesome colour combo, and the embossing folders you've used give a perfect masculine touch. Thanks for joining in the fun at Just Add Ink this week!
Great Job I love the shaker cards but I am still trying to get it right when I do it LOL perfect guy card without having guy stamps
Thanks so much Christine. Was really excited to have this 50th birthday card come together since I don't have any guy stamp sets. The sketch was great inspiration! :)
Thanks Charlene. I used fun foam to make the shaker card ~ my bestie showed me how to. Lots of layers: card stock, transparency, fun foam, card stock. Yes I think I best work on my guy stamps collection! :)
Wonderful shaker card - I love how it looks like a stage set for a great celebration. Chantell JAI
Thanks so much Chantell. I'm so excited to have completed the card and now to pop it in the mail to the recipient! ;)
The little banners add just the right amount of fun and detail for a guy card Sheri and of course the shaker is super fun! Thanks for joining us at Just Add Ink this week.
Thanks so much Kim B. Really enjoyed working with the sketch for inspiration for this guy card! Looking forward to the next JAI challenge. :)
Sounds like you had a perfect day!! This is a fantastic masculine card and I'm sure the recipient will love it.

Yes! I love shaker cards! What a great way to meet this challenge - and I love the little pennants, too! Thanks so much for playing at Fab Friday!
I love shaker cards! You've really pulled in some awesome details, too - love the embossing combined with the DSP you chose, and those little pennants are perfect! Thanks so much for playing at Fab Friday!
Thanks so much Heather. I really struggle with the masculine cards so I am pleased with how my card turned out. Great inspiration with Fab Friday`s colour challenge, :)
Who says you need a masculine set to make masculine cards?? You showed them! This is a great mix of different supplies to make a great birthday card! Love the shaker aspect. Thanks for sharing at Fab Friday!
Fab shaker card, Melissa. Perfect way to impress the guys. Such a great way to use the sketch too. Love your colour & image choices. Thanks for playing at Just Add Ink.

LOL Di...me thinks the blog love was for my shaker card! Not 100% sure, but I will take it. Thank you. :)
