WHQG 2015 Quilt Show - Post 1

Last weekend was the biennial quilt show for the West Houston Quilt Guild (whqg.org).  I'll be posting pics of most of the quilts!  A lot of them are winners, too!

Let's start with my quilts and my bee friends' quilts:

Brenda's first quilt show, and she won honorable mention!

You may have seen this one of mine before, but now it's hanging in a quilt show!

 

Ditto - out there in person for everyone to see. :)

 

 

Karen's Mary Engelbreit flying geese quilt, which won an Honorable Mention.

It was quilted by another bee friend, Lillie, on her long arm.

Barb's Civil War quilt for her son.  Won Second Place in its category!

Sheila's award winning quilt!  I think that's a First Place ribbon! :)

 

Lillie pieced and quilted this one on her long arm.  Another Honorable Mention!

Marion's table runner of warm Christmas fabrics.

 

 

Maria's portrait of her husband won Second Place! 

 

Next post will be other guild member's creations, and I think I'll save the best for last - the third post will include the Best in Show quilt (an Edyta Sitar design) and a quilt from the Featured Showcase artist, Sue Garman.  You may have one of her patterns; I know I do! ;)
