That’s right – I told y’all that when the daffodils bloom we almost always get hit with winter again – look at this forecast –single digits by Tuesday – ouch!! looks like the fireplace is going to be getting a workout again – I think by the weekend – on that one day that says 61! we will be loading firewood up again on the cart that we hook to the lawnmower and loading up the firewood rack up on the porch once again. Crazy weather – maybe the forecast will change by next week? one can hope.

I worked just a little bit on Ciera’s quilt yesterday – truthfully I was just plain tired all day – I haven’t slept well in about 3 or 4 nights now and I tend to go through cycles like this – I did read a bit – I got the newest Patricia Cornwell mystery the other day and I have been reading a bit. I hadn’t cared for the last 3 or 4 of her books all that much but this one she seems to have taken a step back and written a bit more like she used to.

Just straight lines and then I think I will go along the outside of the stars too and then make an X in the middle of the star in the large square.

One more little star done during the news yesterday – these little blocks only take about 30 to 40 minutes to make. I am linking to My Quilt Infatuation today and she has some very pretty quilts linked up today to look at it you have the time. I hope to look at a couple of the links I have an eye doctor appointment today and they are notorious for running late – my afternoon is shot.

Lovely quilt! We are supposed to get hit with some cold and snowy weather in the coming days here in KY. Actually, school was cancelled today due to slick roads. We are sitting at 32 degrees right now but I think the temps are supposed to drop.

I didn’t accomplish much yesterday either. Got up at 3am and just didn’t feel good. I did push through my walk. Hopefully this will be our last blast of real cold weather. We still have blackberry winter to endure.
At least you’re going to get a bit of a break from winter on Saturday … our high on Saturday is supposed to be 40. And we woke up this morning to a little bitty bit of snow … just enough to barely see where the wind blew it up against the grass along the edge of the driveway. Brrrr
Typo: 30 is our forecast high for Saturday. Brrrr
We won’t see daffodils for ages here ! 🙂
Here in Wisconsin we won’t see daffodils until May. I’d give away half my stash for a 60 degree day!
Well we are in the 70’s here we can go to the beach for fun and see the waves or up to the mountains to play in the snow. But what we need is both rain and snow (in the mountains as it melts it’s our water) as we have a major drought. If only you who are snowed in could just ship us your snow and we would happily share our sun shine
Will to be in the 40’s would be great here we will be lucky to be -12 in Michigan! It’s been one cold spill after another. So when you all are feeling cold just think of us hear with-12!
