... Tomnatic...15 septembrie .... Și toamnă ... din nou! La mijlocul lunii septembrie, când școlile au fost redeschise pentru un nou an de studiu ...

...trebuie să spun că am purcers cu bucurie într-unul din locurile cele mai fermecătoare pentru o plimbare, văzând o mulțime de aspecte deja foarte cunoscute, și cu un gând călduros și nostalgic, în mintea mea, la toti acei ani care au trecut peste noi, peste orașul meu și împrejurimile sale ... 

Da, fiecare oraș este frumos, fiecare colț unic de cartier este atât de special, încât mă face să-mi amintesc de cuvintele scrise cândva într-un vechi eseu: de Cella Delavrancea: 

Platan gigantic/ Sycamore tree

Cișmigiul posedă și azi, printre multi copaci și arbuști niște platani frumoși, dar unul, declarat cu drept cuvânt, " monument al naturii" rotindu-și ramurile pe o circumferintă imensă, poate și azi să dăruiască, la vreo 50 de oameni, umbra binefăcătoare in zilele de arșiț ă." ...Autumnal... September, 15.... And fall... again! In mid september when schools have been reopened for a new year of study... 

I have to say that I had gladly walk in one of those most charming places to wander in, watching, seeing and looking patiently at a lots and various of already very known aspects, with a warmly and nostalgic thought in mind at those years that passed over us, my city and his surroundings...

Platan gigantic/ Sycamore tree

       Every town is beautiful, every single corner of neighbourhood is so special, that it makes me to remind myself of the words written in an old essay: by Cella Delavrancea: 

"Bucharest is an earth friendly for the trees. 

Cismigiul possess even today, among many trees and shrubs, some beautiful sycamore trees, but one, the one it was declared  "monument of nature", it can turn through his branches of a huge circumference and it can offer even today, to about 50 people, a beneficial shadow in days of heat. "

      I really hope that you'll enjoy the "sights" captured in images from Cismigiu Park, from the alleys, the lake and some already very known places... in "Grădina Cişmigiu" one of the most charming parks of Bucur's City, with a few days just before that the alleys of surroundings to be fully populated by joyful and happy people with the occasion of the Fair at the celebration of the 555th birthday!

          With a surface of 29.500 m², a length of 1.3 km, a width of 50 meters and a depth of 1–2 meters, the lake is situated in the center of city, right in the middle of Cișmigiu Gardens. From historical sources it is said that it was was formed from an old bifurcation of the Dâmbovița River and was known in the time of Matei Basarab as "Balta lui Dura neguțătorul.

"The park was built in 1847, at a time when Bucharest was the capital of Wallachia, on a site formerly known as Lacul lui Dura neguțătorul (the "Lake of Dura the merchant"), or simply as Dura. The pool it replaced was a popular site for fishing from as early as the 17th century, and was inhabited by mallard colonies. A part of the present-day gardens was occupied by a vineyard, which was planted around a water source: the latter had been tapped during the bubonic plague epidemic of 1795, when the two sons of Prince Alexander Mourousis took refuge in the largely uninhabited zone."

Podul de Nuc/Walnut bridge

"Podul de nuc din Grădina Cişmigiu este una dintre cele mai vechi lucrări ale Bucureștiului, datând din 1859. De un farmec aparte sunt laturile în chip de crengi de nuc, care dau un aer arhaic şi poetic întregii construcţii. Deşi turnat în beton, Podul de nuc se încadrează perfect în peisajul grădinii, fiind totodată unul din cele mai îndrăgite şi reprezentative locuri de promenadă din Cişmigiu."

Walnut bridge from Cişmigiu Garden is one of the oldest works of Bucharest, dating from 1859.

Izvorul Eminescu
Eminescu's Water Spring
"Se presupune că în acest loc a existat un izvor mai vechi. Monumentul actual este de formă semicirculară, din blocuri de piatră. Legenda spune că poetul Mihai Eminescu venea în aici pentru a se odihni, pe vremea când lucra la ziarul Timpul. De altfel, poetul a locuit o vreme în apropiere de acest loc."

Izvorul Sissi Stefanidi

ISVORUL SISSI "amplasat în anul 1927 în Parcul Cișmigiu din București, este o sculptură realizată de Ion Dimitriu-Bârlad din piatră de Bașchioi.
Monumentul reprezintă o mamă, îndurerată de moartea fiicei sale, care toarnă apă dintr-un ulcior. În partea de jos a statuii este săpată inscripția:

ÎNCHINAT SCUMPEI MELE COPILE
SISSI STEFANIDI

Statuia a fost ridicată la cererea familiei Stefanidi, după moartea fiicei lor, Sissi, la vârsta de 21 de ani. Locul pe care este amplasată statuia aparținuse familiei Stefanidi și a fost donat către primăria orașului pentru construirea Noii Grădini.

Statuia este înscrisă în Lista monumentelor istorice 2010 - Municipiul București - la nr. crt. 2369, cod LMI B-III-m-B-20050." wikipedia

Atlas cu Globul

„Atlas” este o lucrare de decor urban (grădinile familiilor mai înstărite erau adesea ornamentate cu diferite sculpturi de dimensiuni modeste, în piatră sau bronz), al cărei autor este necunoscut.

În mitologia greacă, Atlas este titanul primordial, care susţine cerurile pe umerii săi. Atlas era fiul titanului Iafet şi al Asiei (fata lui Okeanus). Denumiri precum „Oceanul Atlantic” („Marea lui Atlas”) sau „Atlantida” („Insula lui Atlas”) fac referire la acest personaj mitic."

"Atlas" is a work of urban setting (gardens wealthier families were often adorned with various sculptures of modest size in stone or bronze), whose author is unknown. 

In Greek mythology, Atlas is primarily titanium, which supports the heavens on his shoulders. Atlas was the son of Japheth titanium and Asia (daughter of Okeanus). Designations such as "Atlantic" ("Sea of Atlas") and "Atlantis" ("island of Atlas") refer to this mythical character.

Monumentul Eroilor Militari Americani

"Monumentul este dedicat memoriei celor 378 militari americani care şi-au pierdut viaţa pe teritoriul României în timpul celui de-al Doilea Război Mondial. Reprezintă o carte deschisă (simbol al memoriei eterne) pe ale cărei file de piatră sunt încrustate numele eroilor americani. Este situat aproape de intrarea dinspre Bvd. Schitu Măgureanu."

"The monument is dedicated to the memory of the 378 American soldiers who lost their lives in Romania during the Second World War. Represents an open book (symbol of eternal memory) the file whose stone are carved the names American heroes. It is located near Avenue entrance."

Arborele Ginko

"Ginkgo biloba, sau Arborele pagodelor (în limba chineză și limba japoneză 銀杏, pinyin romanizat ca: yín xìng, Romaniazare Hepburn: ichō ori ginnan), este o specie de arbore dioic unic în lume, fără părinți vii.

Ginkgo biloba era răspândit, în toată emisfera nordică în Jurasic, dar în prezent arealul său natural este redus la o mică regiune din sud-estul Chinei. Este denumit popular „patru-bani”, „arborele templier japonez”, „caisa argintie”.

Aspectul general al plantei

După ce în Europa a fost introdus în 1730, în Olanda, acum se cultivă și în alte țări atât pentru aspectul său ornamental (în parcuri, pe alei, în grădini botanice) cât și în scop terapeutic. Deoarece această adevărată "fosilă vie" a devenit în ultimii ani una din cele mai importante plante medicinale, a început să fie introdusă în culturi extinse, pentru a-i fi recoltate frunzele."

The ginkgo is a living fossil, recognisably similar to fossils dating back 270 million years. Native to China, the tree is widely cultivated and was introduced early to human history. Torreya nucifera 
Arbore nativ din sudul Japoniei si Insula Jeju Coreea de Sud. Mai este denumit kaya sau Japanese nutmeg-yew.
"is a slow-growing, coniferous tree native to southern Japan and to South Korea's Jeju Island. It is also called kaya or Japanese nutmeg-yew."

Mesteacănul
"e numele copacilor din genul Betula, în familia Betulaceae, înrudit cu familia fagului/stejarului, Fagaceae. Aceștia sunt în general copaci sau arbuști de talie mică spre medie, cu o coajă albă caracteristică, care cresc mai ales în clima temperată nordică.

Frunzele sunt simple, și pot fi dințate sau lobate. Fructul este o samară, cu toate că aripile acesteia pot lipsi, la anume specii. Diferența între mesteacăn și anin (genul Alnus) este că amenții (mâțișorii) femeli nu sunt lemnoși și la maturitate cad și lasă loc semințelor, spre deosebire de mâțișorii de anin, lemnoși și în formă de con.

Denumirea mesteacănului vine din latinul mastichinus. Denumirea științifică a genului, Betula, este tot din limba Latină. Mesteacănul reprezintă sursa de hrană pentru un număr mare de larve ale genului Lepidoptera."

Birch 
"is a broadleaved deciduous hardwood tree of the genus Betula (/ˈbɛtjʊlə/), in the family Betulaceae, which also includes alders, hazels, and hornbeams, and is closely related to the beech/oak family, Fagaceae. The genus Betula contains 30 to 60 known taxa of which 11 are on the IUCN 2011 Red List of Threatened Species. They are typically rather short-lived pioneer species widespread in the Northern Hemisphere, particularly in northern temperate and boreal climates. This tree is sometimes called "The Watchful Tree" because of eye-like impressions on the bark."
