~ definitely rusted but maybe not totally ruined ~
This is my contribution to
City Daily Photo's
"Rust & Ruin"
I spotted this lovely old mobylette
and couldn't help but take a pic
I don't know the make or model of the bike
but hopefully one of our CDP contributors
will be able to enlighten me

And certainly good for a photo - especially given this month's theme!
I don't know what make or model it is either Dianne but I think it should be called "Indy" or "Indiana" when in trouble.
The seat and wheels still look in reasonable order!
Long time parking.
It is a beautiful and classic specimen. Great contribution to City Daily Photoblog.
It certainly was someone's pride and joy and could definitely be resuscitated.
I bet it still works fine even though it could use some TLC.
"Mobylette" was the trade name of the French manufacturer Motobecane. It looks like a model from the early 1960s. A friend of mine had one for ears; nothing much stops them, least of all a little rust!
John: thanks for that info ... The badge has an M on it so that would be for Motobecane. It looks very French.
I bet it still motors too. Motorbikes... love em.
It's beautiful.
Great specimen but I haven't seen anything like it in France. Motobécane's insignia is quite different. That guard bit at the front and the saddle are quite unique. I'm wondering if it's not a local model made by an enterprising immigrant!
My biker's heart thumped!

A bit of sanding and paint and it is as good as new.
A splendid example. It'll need some work!
I'm in love with that little yellow rusty Mobylette Dianne.. sweetest find for the theme!
