When making surprise dresses for your nieces that have recently moved out of state, it would be most beneficial to acquire their measurements first. Sounds like poor Allegra will be wearing a mini skirt. Ah, well. Nothin' a pair of leggings can't fix, right?
Based on the tutorial found here on the Tea Rose Home blog. I wanted to give the girlies matching dresses to wear to church. (I used Michael Miller's "Playful Paisley" as the main fabric. Love those fabrics!) (Thanks, mom for guiding me along! I'll get the hang of this sewing thing soon, I hope!)
And, here's my attempt at Re-fashioning a $3 Old Navy shirt from Crew Neck to Ruffled V-neck. I played around with this one trying to mimic a J.Crew shirt where the ruffles were just on one side, but my strong need for symmetry won over & this is the final result.

Those are super cute! I think Carrie should post pictures of her girls in them, on her blog. You are quite talented. And I love your shirt too!
You are too cute! I'm going to have to check out those tutorials!
You are amazing!
They are absolutely adorable! I can't wait for the girls to wear them!
Wonderful! I've got some projects like that I've been meaning to do. Maybe this'll be my inspiration.
