Happy 4th of July!

Would you believe yesterday on July 3rd we had a high temperature of 78 degrees –  I had the windows open all day and it felt so nice.  I got all the tree branches picked up from the storm the other day and didn’t even break out in a sweat Smile Today? I think 82 – sure feels nice for early July – won’t last! I think by Saturday or Sunday it is to be in the mid 90’s Sad smile good while it last.  I totally skipped the quilting group last night so I have no show and tell – the months go by so quickly at times that the first Thursday night of the month passes me by – I didn’t remember about it until late so decided to stay home  – it was such a nice night it was too good to pass up sitting outside and enjoying the weather.

More cutting on tumblers!  I now have 1000 prints and 900 plain – I need (I think) 1,458 of each – just about there! three boxes stacked – I can fit more in each pile in each box but now I am keeping them in stacks of 100 so that I don’t loose count!  I will restack when I have them all cut.  Some have asked size? these finish at 2 inches high and 2 inches wide at base.  I am linking to Confessions of a Fabric Addict today – you might want to check her out, she is holding a raffle to raise money to help her out her daughter and family – they are adopting a deaf child from China and they have been raising money for about a year now I think to get him to America.  Sarah is raffling off a quilt.  Sarah does charity work throughout the year in collecting quilts for various causes.

It’s been equally gorgeous here. I have had to wear a sweatshirt or jacket when walking in the morning. But like your weather, it’s going to heat right back up here, too. So I’m really enjoying the break from the heat.

Those little tumblers are so sweet … I cannot wait to see it start to come together.
