Granny’s Got Style now has two borders done and attached. Including the buttons on the Prairie Points (see this link for the pressing tool give away on the Prairie Points). Photo taken outside and I see the upper corner the wind blew in. This quilt is 106 inches wide and will be about the same in length – or should be with shrinkage it will fit a queen bed fine (ours has a deep mattress). I will need to make sure to lay out the quilt top and the top/bottom borders for the layout of the Prairie Points so they come up right in the corners – this will involve pinning and no sewing until they are right! I am linking to Kathy’s Quilts: Slow Sunday Stitching

Plenty of 5 inch charms in the box to make more Prairie Points and maybe two more quilts of other designs LOL – this box is full!!! I really have no idea how many charms are in this box – I am guessing 600.

I made another tea cozy for the little tea pots – I have one but it is old and shabby looking. I whipped this one up yesterday morning – very easy to make and I machine quilted lines of various widths across it on both sides.

The Patchwork of the Crosses is coming along so fine! See that next row to work on – the middle of of it is the halfway point!!

Here is where I picked back up at it last night. I picked up the Diamonds are Forever quilt (hexies) to work on it briefly while the news was on as I had nothing else handy – not much accomplished there, but two more diamonds to sew on to the row and I will have one more row ready to attach. I’m sure I will get back to this one soon.

Hope your weekend is going well.
Love the prairie points and circles border. They make a nice frame for your colorful quilt.

I so love your daily blogging! I am loving those borders on your granny’s got style quilt top you are focusing on… so much detail in those borders will really pay off I think when you are snuggling n enjoying it later! Your tea cozy turned out cute… aren’t you glad you can sew a straight quilting line??!! lol I love that you have so many 5″ squares at the ready… I have 1 pack of 42 and a very very modest stash… but I love that you USE all you have! I do too… thus my stash ends up modest! ha! Love your crosses quilt… it is coming along fast for sure! You may beat me getting done and I am on the downhill side of mine already! Thanks for sharing so… Kathi
Hi! What.a.job.is Granny’s got style quilt! it seems to be enoooormous. Congratulations on almost being half way point in POTC quilt. You’re a very hardwork quilter, my God!. Love!
Granny’s Got Style HAS got style, in buckets. The borders you are putting on are wonderful and will set that quilt off to perfection. The quilting on your Crosses quilt is lovely too.
Your border looks wonderful! No stitching for me this weekend. My sister and bil were here to visit and the dog had surgery Friday. Thankfully my husband is getting around better with his knee and can take showers now. Should be all downhill from here.
The prairie point and circle border are perfect for the quilt. Very beautiful! Cute teapot cozy. I need to make one too, not only to sell. 🙂 The one we have is not very beautiful anymore. Progress on quilting.
Beautiful job. Love the prairie points and the circles in the border.
I have missed a lot in the last two weeks…very fun to catch up with all your quilting. Love the border of prairie points on the granny square quilt!
Love the way the Granny Squares quilt is turning out! I noticed a new book by Lori Holt about granny square quilts. Very tempting!!
I am also tempted by a new Jane Austen block of the week quilt coming soon. Too many ideas, so little time, even for us retirees!
