Oils that are good for the skin

1.  Cocoa Butter.  Cocoa butter is the thick solid oil that is produced from cocoa pods.  This is excellent for sensitive, dry and damaged skin.

2.  Coconut Oil.  This is one of my favorite oils and I use it internally and externally.  It is a very thick oil and solidifies at 76 degrees F.  It is very good for massage and penetrates the skin quickly.  It will not clog the pores and so is good for use on the face.

3.  Shea Butter.  Shea Butter is a thick creamy butter from Africa.  It is very healing for damaged skin and an emollient.  It is thick and creamy with a strong oder if unrefined.

4.  Mango Butter.  This butter comes from the kernels of the mango tree and is similar to shea or cocoa butter.  It is an emollient and nourishes the skin.  It is not as creamy as the other butters and is best blended with another butter or oil.

5.Olive Oil.  Olive oil coats the skin well and is quickly absorbed.  It is used often in soap making but also good for salves or balms.

These are the most common oils and all ones that we use here at Vision Herbs.  We could and may get into some of the more expensive oils but if we do so we will have to raise prices and we try and keep our products very affordable.  Healthy skin care should not be beyond the reach of the average person.
