Today at My Besties UK challenge blog we have a new challenge launched called "Try something New".
For what i have done is not a brand new technique but it is new to me so that still counts.
I have always wanted to make things with a melt pot so i finally gave in and purchased one a month ago and now am slowly learning what to do with it - so this is my "try something new".
I have started off just basically making things using the UTEE and moulds.
Here is my finished project.
I have used 8x8 card blank, AC wood effect paper & 2 colours of textured card, DCWV heart paper and Creata mirror card.
The embellishments i have made in the Melt Pot are the butterfly on the top right, the big heart and the 3 roses.
I have used Spectrum Noir markers for colouring the digi. I have red/burgundy hair at the moment so i thought id colour her hair to match mine. I have used DR8 and DR6 to create this effect.
From this picture you can see the dimensional shape from the UTEE created embellishments.
I have also used Pinflairs Buff it "Rose" coloured product to change the colour of the UTEE once it was hard and cold.
I hope you like what i have created, i am really pleased with how the whole thing turned out once assembled. I have burnt fingers from the melt pot as wowser that stuff is really hot and ive got buff it all over my trousers but hey ho im a crafter LOL
