1. Which do you prefer-pretty gift wrap with a bow or a pretty gift bag with/without a bow? What percentage of your holiday gifts are currently (as in right this very minute) wrapped in some form or fashion?
I have no preference. I like a pretty package period. That said, I do like ribbon. Thick, pretty ribbon.
As of right this moment. . . . no, none, zero, nada, zilch gifts are wrapped. Hey, I'm feeling pretty good about the fact that I have actually purchased a few! I usually finish shopping before even beginning to wrap.
Often - well, always (who are we kidding here) it's pretty much the only thing the Hubby has time to help with. So we save the wrapping for the last few days before Christmas so he can
2. What is one item on your Christmas list this year?Weeelllll I have technically already received what I asked for for Christmas and I've been given the green light to have some things done around the house which I'm more than happy to check off a wish list labeled Christmas. That said . . . ha ha. I would like a chair for my newly painted bedroom. ;)
3. What makes a home?
Well the people of course and the love of the people for the people.
4. Motown founder Berry Gordy celebrates his birthday on Hodgepodge Day-November 28th. Are you a fan of the Motown sound? If so, who's your favorite Motown artist and/or song? Here's a list in case you're stuck.
I did have to consult the list and really a lot of them sounded familiar and I like quite a few so I guess that would make me a fan of the Motown sound. I can't pick a favorite artist but the one song that stood out to me was My Guy. That said, I like this version of it best . . .
Which I suppose could be argued that it is not necessarily Motown. Ha.
5. Red or green-which one is more prevalent in your closet?
I do not wear green so I'd have to say red.
6. True or false-bacon makes it better? If you answered true, what's your favorite dish made with bacon?
Eh. I can take it or leave it so I'm saying false. Now . . . if we're talking Mexi food preparation then I'd say True, in the sense that one absolutely needs the bacon grease to make it yummy.
7. Share a favorite holiday memory.
Let's see . . . I'm going to pick the year the sibs and I were all in high school and we received real leather jackets for Christmas! Well, I think we girls did anyway. I mean, it was over the top as far as what we usually received. I loved the shock and amazement feeling. Probably because I would never have expected it and I wanted one really bad.
I try to get one thing each year my kiddos wouldn't expect but I'm not sure I always pull it off. I obsess over the gift deciding actually. I wish I didn't. I mean, it would be so much easier if I didn't. But I can't. It's just
8. Insert your own random thought here.
This is my bedroom right now . . .
Which is one of the the items I spoke of getting the green light to have done. Yay! This will be Painter Tom's last room
I'll miss him.
I'm just sayin'
