Off to bag course.

The time is here. Tomorrow I go off to the bag course for three whole days. I hope it will be a blast. And I hope that my back will hold up properly.

As usual I have had some change of plans. I emailed the lady holding the course to check if we could make some alterations to the models we want to make etc. and got the response that the ones I had in mind shouldn't be any problems at all. Therefore I have reconsidered my first choice a bit and made the following plans for the course.

Since I want to make alterations to the model I chose I did not cut any fabric at home. I will do that at the course instead just to make sure I don't ruin my plans.

My first choice will be this bag but I want the middle section to be of just one fabric. One of the four burgundy like ones on the left of this picture. The base fabric for the rest of the bag will be the linen and the lining will be the light fabric to the right.

Then if I have time for more bags my second choice is to make that "knitting tote" but for me it will be my quilt meeting tote so I pulled out some fabric that I have had in my stash for around 10 years or so just waiting to make something sewing related. We'll see how that works out.

If my back holds up and I will finish both of the above bags, the next project in line is to make a wallet and a matching bag out of these patterns and fabrics but we'll see if I actually get the chance to. I suspect I'll be busy enough with the two first projects but just in case, I feel it's better to have a couple of extra projects planned and not the time for them than ending up having a day left and nothing to do etc.

The lighter blue fabrics on the left above the wallet pattern is supposed to be replacements for the light fabrics that I will have in the matching bag. I figured that the wallet will be handled more and therefore light fabrics aren't that good for it.

So I'm all packed for the trip tomorrow.

If possible I'll make some updates and post some pictures of what we will do during these days. If I get the chance.

And remember I said that these days will probably be the warmest days of the summer? Indeed it will be, at least tomorrow. Thursday and Friday seems to go back to our "normal" 20c again but tomorrow is supposed to be 28c and sunny. Typical.

Have a great week all.
