In the meantime we still have the Hodgepodge to get us through! Let's get on with it!
* I should have my own show, don'tyathink? Ha.
1. The Summer Olympics officially begin this Friday night...will you be watching? If you could see just one event in person which one would you pick?
I hope to be watching live. If not watching live then the DVR version later. I would love see the gymnastic competition.
2.Do lazy days make you feel rested or unproductive?
Hmm. I'd say a lazy day makes me feel recharged but not really rested exactly. If I was lazy instead of accomplishing something I should have, then I frustrated with myself. That said, I do work better under some time constraint. I think that comes from having a lot of time on my hands.
3. July 25th is 'officially' Threading the Needle Day...can you sew? On a scale of 1-10 with 1 being not at all and 10 being Betsy Ross-like, how would you rate your skill with a needle and thread?
I can sew. I used to sew all the time when I was much younger. I took Home Economics in high school and once received an A- on an apron. Psh. She said I should have made my pockets smaller. Whatever. I would rate myself a 5. I never could master pants. Well, that felt normal on anyway. ha ha
4. 'Threading the Needle' can also mean to walk a fine line between two things or issues (think awkward social situation). When was the last time you had to 'thread the needle', figuratively speaking?
There is one thing in particular I walk a fine line on. Well okay, a fat rope. Sometimes it's hard to hide my thoughts or stop my mouth and before you know it, I've used the safety net. {crickets}
5. Kidney, pinto, black, or navy...your favorite bean?
I'm going to go with pinto. Hellloooo . . . I am of Mexican descent!
6. Have you ever hosted a garage sale? Was it more success or bust?
Yes! More than one actually. They were all pretty much successful. I mean getting money for stuff you don't use anymore is a win win. It's just a lot of work and usually takes a full week to prep for.
7. What makes you roll your eyes?
I think I roll my eyes without knowing I'm rolling my eyes. So . . . I don't know. Odds are, my children have each given me an opportunity to roll my eyes. {ahem}
8. Insert your own random thought here
The Hubby has his boyfriend golf trip this weekend and X is going rafting with friends so I decided to head to the Beach and Mom/Nana's cottage at the coast. I roped BF's Karen and Tami into coming with me. We're just going to hang out, have some happy hours, gab, read, eat and do it all over again. You know, one of those ~ What happens at the Beach, stays at the Beach ~ kind of weekends. Maybe we'll even go sky diving.
Nah, it's been done.
I'm just sayin'

Glad to hear you've had successful sales. And kids - as cute as they are will always in one way or another cause one to roll her eyes, lol
I'm sure there is more to #4 than what you've written : ) Enjoy your beach weekend...sounds like fun!
My girls claim I roll my eyes a lot too, but I think it's just retaliation for all those years I punished them for purposly rolling their eyes at me!
Enjoy your beach time!
Enjoy your weekend-sounds like fun.
OH, what I'd give to have a weekend with besties . Enjoy! And I am like you on the time constraints. Not much happens w/o deadlines. I've always been like that. Oh, and smaller pockets on an apron Why? Big pockets are great for stuffing an extra meal into while you're cooking in case the family eats so much of your yummies that there are no leftovers! Lasagna in pockets--gotta try it sometime. Nah, it's been done, as you say! :)
Ha! Sometimes I dont realize I am rolling my eyes until my hubby says "DId you just roll your eyes at me?!" and the answer is usually yes :)
Enjoy the beach it sounds like a great trip! It is always nice when we can sneak away with our friends for a few days of laughs !!
