Well if it matters at all, like if I'm going to be out in the weather, then I make sure to watch the 11:00 pm news and then again watch the forecast first thing in the morning. So basically I let the weather people tell me. Here in the
Case in point; I am volunteering at the High school's alumni golf tournament on Friday so I've peeked to make sure see that there is no rain coming. I will 'peek'
2. Since this is volume 84 of the Wednesday Hodgepodge, and since I got married in 1984, and since I'm attending a wedding this weekend it only seems right to post something related here.
"Happiness in marriage is entirely a matter of chance. If the dispositions of the parties are ever so well known to each other or ever so similar beforehand, it does not advance their felicity in the least. They always continue to grow sufficiently unlike afterwards to have their share of vexation; and it is better to know as little as possible of the defects of the person with whom you are to pass your life."
Agree or Disagree. Why?
I do not think happiness in marriage is pure chance. It takes real effort to make a marriage a happy one. That said, I do think it is smart to know your intended spouse well enough to consider yourselves compatible (ha, I typed combatable at first...) but it's also probably a good idea to not know of all their faults or 'defects' either. I mean, nobody would ever get married, now would they? Nobody is perfect and once you take that step and make those vows a person is bound to be more tolerant of 'defects' as they are committed at that point and therefore harder torun for your life just move on because of what may be a bothersome 'defect.'
Marriage is a good thing. I highly recommend it. When you're ready. Good and ready. Just know in your heart that you have picked "the person with whom you are to pass your life" well. : )

3. Do you like to dance? Have you ever taken dance lessons?
I love to dance. The Hubby loves to dance also. That's a good thing. I have not taken lessons although the Hubby took ballroom dancing in undergraduate {ahem} so in essence I have taken lessons from him. We do a pretty mean swing. Or I should say, he does and I follow well.

4. Fresh from the oven peach pie or home made peach ice cream? Pick one.
Definitely peach pie. Actually peach cobbler is even better but that was not a choice here.
5. Should people accept unfairness and learn to make the best of it?
Wow, that's a good question. In some instances probably this is the case. Then again in other instances people should not just assume unfairness cannot be 'fixed.'
6. The top five all time summer movie blockbusters (released between May and August and grossing at least 100 million dollars) are-Jaws, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Star Wars (the original), Ghostbusters, and ET. Which one's your favorite?
Hmm. Hard choice between Jaws and ET. But push come to shove I think I would watch Jaws again before watching ET.
7. If given the chance, would you like to visit the moon?
Nah. We all know how I am flying and that whole motion thing. I'm not sure the visit to dust and craters would outweigh the weeks it would take me to feel 'normal' again. Just stating the facts. Although, I'm pretty positive the Hubby would hop on so I would probably put on my big girl panties and go along. I'm a pleaser adaptable like that
8. Insert your own random thought here.
Who knew my neck was so long.
I'm just sayin'

we need photographic evidence of this happening, missy.
Visiting from the Hodgepodge Fun answers.
I'm sure by the time we can actually travel to the moon they'll have figured out a way to beam us there.
We need a photo : )
