Wednesday Hodgepodge

It's Wednesday.  The sun is shinning and I just got news that a particular gift that was ordered has arrived just in time!  It's a good Wednesday indeed! On with Joyce's Hodge . . .

1. What is a pet peeve you have when vacationing?
Well at the risk of sounding high maintenance {ahem} What's irritating is not having the right piece of clothing with me if I find that I could use this or that and didn't pack it.  Psh.  Humidity.  Can't stand humidity.  I do not have hair for humidity.  Hotels rooms without proper bathroom lighting are peeve provoking also.

2. Would you describe yourself as a light packer or do you need everything in your closet plus the kitchen sink?

Oh dear.  I'm sure it surprises NO ONE that I am a "need options" kind of packer.  As in, everything and then some.  That just the way it is.  I make no apologies for it.  Lucky for me, the Hubby's MVP status allows me to check luggage at no cost.

 

3. What's the best lesson a child ever taught you?
Hmm.  Having a hard time coming up with an answer here.  I'm sure I've learned something from a child but can't come up with it. 

4. Share one piece of advice you'd give a recent graduate as they attempt to enter the job market?

Whew, well I wish I had something inspiring to say.  I guess I would just say . . . it will happen.  And it's okay if the one you take isn't your life's work or dream job.  Life's a journey, you figure it out as you go.

5. What's your favorite lemon something?

MMM  . . .  that would be lemon meringue pie.  Those new Girls Scout lemon cookies are pretty darn good too.   

6. Flat sandal, wedge, heel...your favorite footwear?

I feel like a heel or wedge is more flattering but I'm more often in a ballet flat.  Honestly, I love all shoes.  Well, except the clog.
 

7. What do you like best about a beach holiday? If you're not a beach lover (GASP!!) what do you dislike the least?

I love to listen the ocean while falling asleep.

It looks like we will have a full house for Memorial Day Weekend!  Brenden and Holly will be coming down from Seattle for a Timbers game.  X will have arrived home for the summer (yes, already) on Thursday and Miss Katherine-A. called this past Sunday expressing a desire to come home for the long weekend, we all know how her Daddy can't refuse her so Viola, full house.  I believe it was Christmas the last time everyone was home together.

That's just d u m ridiculous.
