A-Z Reflections

2012 Challenge Survivor Badge

Yes, I’m one of the many A to Z April Challenge survivors. I wasn’t sure I was even going to do this monthly challenge on March 31st, but decided to jump right in at the last minute (the story of my life!) and it was worth the plunge!

The best of the Challenge:

  • read some great blogs written by  people with interests very unlike mine. Learned new things! Appreciated the diversity of people out there!
  • read some great blogs written by like minded people. People I could relate to. Appreciated feeling like I have some new ‘friends’ in cyberspace—even people from across the pond!
  • It was exciting to see my followers growing in numbers. Oh, I’m so not about the numbers, but there is something fun about having new followers, to be honest! And all that comment love..wow!
  • Found some new blogs to follow. Inspirational. Educational. Humorous. Ordinary.
  • Being DONE! :)

The worst of the Challenge:

  • Some days were tough slogging. Which meant some posts were pretty bleh. Oh well. That’s life sometimes!
  • Knowing there was no way I was going to visit and comment on every blog in this Challenge. Had a case of the ‘should’s’, but it left pretty quickly. I do know my limit and I usually blog within it!
  • Wondering what the heck I was doing focusing on the A-Z Challenge when I could have been doing other ‘productive’ things. Then, realizing that I enjoy writing, so why feel badly about it?

So, really, all in all, the Challenge was fun! April can be a pretty drab month in this neck of the woods, so it was a great little diversion for 26 days.

Thanks to the organizers and to  all for stopping by now and then! See you around the blogosphere!
