Nature/Out Doors- Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to -

Today's project is all about nature or the outdoors, which is very apt for today, as our day has started with clear blue skies for the first time in a week, which is very unlike Western Australia, but we have welcomed the rain. These blue skies are actually the inspiration for today's card. Why you ask? Winter has arrived, so it's a little nippy in temperature and the fog was present very early this morning.

The card I made is a combination of autumn tones to the sudden change of greenery that occurs when it rains in this area. That's what I have tried to achieve. I will leave it up to you to decide if I have succeeded.

The stamp set is one of the oldest stamp sets in my collection but is still available in the new catalogue its - Lovely As A Tree with the sentiment coming from Love What You Do a very new stamp set.

I have used a technique called Rock N Roll on the larger leaves which is when you stamp in the lighter colour then roll the stamp onto a darker colour. Just love the effect it creates. Then used the Stampin' Write markers for the tree and sponged Coastal Cabana to give the effect of the sky.

Products used -

Card stock - Early Espresso, Old Olive, Very Vanilla
Stamp Ink - Crushed Curry, Soft Suede, Old Olive, Grapefruit Grove, Memento, Coastal Cabana
Other -  Stampin' Write Markers- Early Espresso, Tombow Multipurpose Glue, Dimensionals, sponge

Casing the Catalogue

Hello and welcome to a  -

Today we are casing the new catalogue. Casing from the catalogue is actually copying one of the projects within the catalogue with the supplies we have. This has been challenging for me as I don't have a lot from the catalogue.  In fact, I have been left with 3 stamp sets plus 1 that I have recently purchased. Despite this, I did find a project to copy. I chose one that uses the Flourishing Phrases stamp set on page 18. I cased the one on the right.

The sample in the book uses -
Stamps: Flourishing Phrases
Paper: Coastal Cabana and Whisper White Cardstock; Tropical Escape Designer Series Paper Ink: Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather, Mango Melody, Granny Apple Green, Coastal Cabana
Accessories: Powder Pink 3/8" Ruffled Ribbon and Iridescent Sequin Assortment Tools: Pretty Label Punch Adhesives: Mini Glue Dots, Stampin’ Dimensionals, and SNAIL

As you can see I have changed a bit -

Products I have used -
Paper: Pool Party, Whisper White, Retired DSP Picture Perfect
Paper Ink: Berry Burst, Old Olive, Pool Party, Lemon Lime Twist, Pool Party, Memento

I have not included any ribbons as the ribbons I have did not work with the card. I have also used Clear Rhinestones.
I have also stamped enough to make another card, as I now feel that I know what I am doing and can improve on what I have shown here. Just love this with Stampin' Up! They give Demonstrators the instructions on what they have used in the catalogue, and it can be utilised to inspire and share the creativity.

Cheers and Happy Stamping.

Favourite Stamp Set

Hello, and welcome to this week Freshly Brewed with the Latte Girls Blog Hop - Our favourite retiring stamp set.

To choose a favourite retiring stamp set has been a hard choice, as I have a number of current stamp sets that I use regularly. As I used one of the sets last week, and most of what I have shown has been female orientated I have decided to use a guys stamp set this week, Guy Greetings. In my opinion, this has been one of the best guy stamps that Stampin' Up! have produced.

I was up early this cold morning and have learnt that the temperature was 4.4 degrees, a little chilly, but neither the less I was making a card and I did have one in mind. This is what I came up with -

I'm also sad to see this Chocolate Chip cardstock retiring, as I use it so often for men's cards, but I was a good girl I did not stock up on it as the incoming colours look awesome! Not sure if you can see it but have stamped the background with tools. I also completed the inside- (maybe I should get up early every morning)

Ingredients used

Stamp set Guy Greetings- $45
Card Stock - Chocolate Chip, Crushed Curry, Very Vanilla
Ink Pads - Chocolate Chip and Memento
Other - Linen Thread, Tombow Multipurpose glue, Stampin   Dimensionals, Paper Snips

Thank you so much for dropping in and having a look, and   I hope you enjoy the rest of the Latte Girls projects on the tour, just click on the links below.

Freshly Brewed Projects Blog Hop - Favourite Framelits

Today we get to show our favorite retiring Framelit, so its a sad day as reality is checking in on what is retiring. I have used the Butterflies thinlets which I have teamed with the Butterfly Basics stamp set.

I have used these so many times and must admit at this time they may never leave my stash. Just love the effect the butterflies have on the cards. This card uses current products available and I have cased the design from the Annual catalogue page 149, just added my own ideas into it. But to show the versatility of the dies I have included 2 cards with a mixture of old and new product.

The older cards

Hello and welcome to Freshly Brewed Projects with the Latte Girls Blog Hop - Retiring DSP

Stampin' Up! have so many beautiful packs of fancy papers (DSP), so to pick a favourite can be very hard. The one I have chosen is Birthday Memories. I find it to be a very versatile pack that can be used for children and adults, male and female.

I give credit to Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Barb Mullin for a great money wallet tutorial, and must admit I have tweaked it so it fits the Australian $100 note. I have designed today's project for a girl as I had my niece in mind when making it. I have made this wallet many times and am amazed at just how much flexibility it has for decorating.  I have used two of the pages of the Birthday Memories DSP, a retiring product. If you like the DSP you need to order by 31st May 2018

The outside -

The inside-

I fussy cut the cakes and the girl from the DSP  before placing on cardstock. and both pieces of Whisper White were sponged with Daffodil Delight stamp Ink

Products Used-
Stamp Sets: Birthday Wit, Oh Happy Day Card Kit (all are retiring)
Cardstock: Daffodil Delight, Whisper White
DSP: Birthday Memories
Stamp Ink: Daffodil Delight, Memento
Others: Tombow Multi Liquid Glue, Stampin' Dimensionals, Mini Glue Dots

Thank you for looking and I hope you enjoy the projects made on your journey.

Welcome to my first Blog Hop ever. So I hope it all works.

Today we are creating a project for Mothers Day. I chose to use one of the new stamp sets I had purchased on joining Stampin' Up! Flourishing Phrases. A set I have admired for some time and is continuing into the 2018-2019 Stampin' Up! catalogue. In my enthusiasm to adventure into new experiences, I forgot that I was going to need a current Mothers Day sentiment. That drove me to dig deep into the myriad of bags looking and hoping I had one, I did find one in Teeny Tiny Sentiments, unfortunately this set is retiring to make way for a new set.

The card I have made, has a different sentiment on than many I have seen, but I think it works.

 and the inside-

My apologies for the photos,as they are a little dark and not true to colour - mental note to oneself - find a good area to photograph in.

Product used:
Stamp Sets: Teeny Tiny Sentiments, Flourishing Phrases
Detailed Die Set: Flourish Thinlets
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Tranquil Tide, Berry Burst
DSP:  Color Theory Designer Series Pack
Stamp Ink: Powder Pink, Memento
Other: Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Glitter Enamel Dots, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Stampin' Dimensionals, Big Shot Die Cutting Machine, Stampin' Trimmer

Thank you for looking and I hope you enjoy the remaining projects as you continue your journey.

Cheers
