JUGS #126
This is the sketch from Lynn Mangan of the JUGS DT.... she's also a great blogger and card maker!! Talented in so many ways ~ I think it's a great go-to sketch for a card, and I will definitely keep this one handy. I wanted to play along with this sketch as I attempted to make a card for my son to include in a small envelope I need to send to him. Here's my attempt:
I embossed the sentiment in the middle although it's hard to tell in the picture. The white paper is popped up on dimensionals, as is the center "flower". I was unsure where to put a sentiment because I was going to put a button in the middle of the flower, but decided to forgo the button and just put the sentiment there. I wish I could have come up with something a little more creative though. In any case, I hope he likes it!!

Ginny, I'm sure your son will love it. I love the die on top of the patterned paper. it is gorgeous. So glad you could play along with us at Just Us Girls!

ReplyDeleteGreat card...I had to re read your description, good thing I did cause I wrote incorrectly. I still love the card...I thought the flower print was embossed.
ReplyDeleteLooks great!

ohh your card is lovely - so crisp and clean - am sure the recipient will adore it!
ReplyDeleteLOVE this! Your interpretation of the layout is fabulous, your use of negative space is wonderfully dramatic (in a really classy way) and those little pearls are a perfect finishing touch - this is a gorgeous card!
