1. Share something you loved about your Christmas Day.
Well I loved that we had a leisurely Christmas morning and didn't have to run off anywhere after the gift giving.
That said the fact that 20 some odd peeps descended upon us later in the day made me realize that this large family of mine may have to do some adjusting in the coming years. I'm not sure having the Grande get together on Christmas day makes sense anymore. Just keeping it real, people. Or maybe I'm just gettin' old. Either way, it's time for a discussion.
2. You get to put five items in a time capsule to be opened in 100 years, what items would you choose and why?
Well . . . first the obvious would be a cell phone. I'm sure in a hundred years there might just be some kind of chip built into our bodies somewhere to communicate with each other. Icky.
Second ~ either a computer or ipad or something of that nature because it would be way out of date and technology will be leaps and bounds beyond what we have now.
Third ~ something personal such as pictures and/or journals or as Joyce says, my blog books (copies though, cuz of course my descendants will have published them already to make millions.) Ha.
Fourth ~ A newspaper and a few magazines for a look into the current events of the times.
Fifth ~ Can't really think of something else. Maybe some paper money. There's no telling what they might be using then for currency. Most likely some kind of bar codes. Ha.
3. What do you like on a cracker?
I love a yummy slice of Brie cheese.
4. Do you make resolutions at the start of a new year? How'd that work out for you this past year?
No, notsomuch. I may think to myself, oh I should really think about doing this or that this year but I don't really make a resolution. I mean, that just sets a person up for thinking they've failed. Unless you know you're the type of person that needs the extra
5. What's a song or song lyric you'll associate with 2011?
I'm going with the song the Hubby found for us for our anniversary celebration . . . I love it.
6. How will you ring in the new year?
We are having a few friends over for dinner, white elephant, perhaps card/game playing. Miss K-A. will still be home as will Mr. 20, so I imagine I will be
7. What is something you look forward to in 2012?
Well, we will have another college graduation in June. Yay! Another family wedding in September. Mr. 20 (not used to that 2 0 yet) is considering Fall Semester abroad so perhaps we might just do a visit if/while he's there. London in October or November sounds nice.
8. Insert your own random thought here.
The doggie has had some sort of intestinal issue. We believe it was the chunky stew food that was too rich. So it has been a couple nights of 'half an eye open to lay in wait' kind of sleep for me/us waiting him to make a move and get up without waking us up to tell us he has to go out! ugh. I think he's embarrassed but I'm tired of cleaning up the results and trying to not shame him at the same time. That's probably more than you wanted to know/visualize, right?
Again, just keepin' it real.
I'm just sayin'

Money is a good answer...I'm sure we'll be into some crazy one world currency in another 100 years. I think it is time to start thinking about spreading out the celebrating...soon our girls will have families of their own so maybe we need to do extended family another time. Our problem is everyone is so spread out.
Happy Birthday to Mr. 20! London is fabulous any time of year : )
You are wishing for a smaller Christmas celebration and I was mourning that ours has gotten so small. I really miss the huge family get-togethers.
What makes you think the Coop doesn't have some sort of medical ailment that is making him all intestinal-ish. You know, like before?
Awwww...poor puppers. I hope he feels better soon.
Can you tell me what song you had? The video link wouldn't work for me since I am outside the U.S. I hate when that happens :-(
