Wednesday Hodgepodge

On with the Hodgepodge . . . I think I'm linking up in record time this week.

1. Do you send Christmas cards? If so about how many will you send this year? How do you display the cards you receive? Or don't you? (gasp!)
Yes I do send Christmas cards.  Lately I've been sending right around 75 or so. This year will be the first year that we have one child actually living out on his own so I was at first thinking ~ wait, do I still include Son #1 in our annual greetings to friends and family?!  Is there etiquette for that sort of thing?  No matter, of course I will.
As for the ones we receive, I usually put them in a basket on the sofa table for all to paw through check out.   I guess they are not so much on display as much as they are available.  Ha.

2. When do kids become adults?
Well that's an excellent question and obviously I don't think a new graduate living in his own apartment is adult enough to not get face time on the family Christmas card.  Ha.  Who knows.  We are obviously winging this one . . . said the mom who is still paying the car insurance.  {sigh}  Learn as you go ~ that's our motto.  Maybe we'll have it figured out by the time #3 is out on his own.  Hmm.

3. Does your 'beauty regimen' change with the seasons?
Um no.  Should it?  Ha.  My skin doesn't really change season to season except that obviously I may have 'more color' in my face in the summer (or after a trip to sunshine) so I may skip the foundation step or at least a layer of it.  Ha.

4. What's something you like to eat that might cause another person to turn up their nose?
Well I'm a pretty picky discerning eater so there is probably not much I eat that someone else might not want to.  Although I do love me a beet salad and I have seen one person do a nose crinkle at the mention of it.

5. Gloves or mittens?
Gloves for sure.  I love my leather gloves.  What I would like to have is leather gloves with that fabric or whatever it is on the forefinger and pointer finger that enables a person to work their iPhone. I've seen it on the fabric gloves but not leather.  Now THAT would be a top seller for sure. Mittens make me crazy and I feel like I can't use my hands at all. I've heard they keep your hands warmer but I'm not buying it.

6. What's the longest queue you've ever been in? Was it worth it? Queue=line but doesn't queue sound nicer?
Well I know for a fact that I have never stood in a line that snaked around a building waiting for a movie to open or anything like that.  We were in a pretty long line while visiting the Eiffel Tower, and I would say that one was worth it.

7. Besides Christmas, what is one thing you are looking forward to in the month of December?
Well my birthday of course.  Ha.  (the 30th, if you don't know already are wondering)

8. Insert your own random thought here.
I actually purchased a Christmas gift today!  I know!  Whoo Hoo.  If you recall, the Hubs and I are going on a little vacay coming up soon and I'm just a tad concerned I will come home and find myself totally stressing out about the lack of time I have left to get everything done. But I can do nothing about it at this point so it is what it is and I'm hoping it will all work out.

Everyone loves coconuts from Hawaii, don't they?

I'm just sayin'

Hey Carrie!
Sending out Christmas cards is one tradition I really enjoy...if I could just skip the addressing the envelopes part! Have a good one!
