I have some new cards to share and the first two were inspired by the new Color Combo Challenge I wrote about yesterday. It's a challenge held every Tuesday over at The Outlawz group and this week we had these three colors, along with a twist - which was to also include twine on our project.
This is the first card I created and I was excited to use my new Silhouette to cut these cute little Christmas Trees, however, I feel like it's missing something, so I made a second card (see below).
After my disappointment in this card, I moved on and created another where I also had the chance to play with my new
In the end, this card is the one I like best and the one that I have decided to submit to the Color Combo challenge, along with these new challenges too:
- The Outlawz - Tuesday Color Combo - With a Twist
- Crimbo Crackers - Challenge # 1 - Christmas Theme/Anything Goes
- The Paper Shelter - Challenge # 38 - Christmas Fun
And then I have these two cards which were both inspired by a new Copic Challenge today over at The Outlawz. The challenge was to create a Thank You for Giving Thanks type of card and this is the first card I made and the one that includes Copics for the challenge. My image is a digi and is one I bought at as part of a monthly pack--last Fall from Bugaboo Stamps.
I am submitting this card to each of these challenges and everyone is welcome to play along:
- The Outlawz - Friday's Copic/ProMarker Challenge - Giving Thanks/Thank You
- Dutch Dare Challenges # 137 - Thanksgiving or Thankful
- My Mum's Craft Shop - Challenge # 30 - With Thanks
I also created a second Thank You themed card and this one was created to again practice making CAS Style cards. It's all done in Black and White and features some paper from Basic Grey's brand new "Little Back Dress" release, which I LOVE!!
I am entering this card into these challenges --
- Whimsy Stamps - Challenge # 13 - Monochromatic
- Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes, and maybe a litttle bling!
- Dutch Dare Challenges # 137 - Thanksgiving or Thankful
And my last card today was another example of Clean and Simply and also another card created all in black and white.
This card was also created primarily from scraps and is another great way to use up some of those scraps you have. I have a large pink scrap bin that I keep right under my desk and anytime I need small sections of paper, I also go to my scrap pile first. I like to try and re-cycle, as much as I can....even though I probably have enough paper to last me the next several years!!
Hope your Friday is going as well as mine and also hoping for a wonderful weekend. We are supposed to have sunny and mild weather and that's perfect for me!! I may even heard out and do some Christmas Shopping. I love going and getting a lot done before the big crowds hit and I've already placed a few orders online. I LOVE Christmas and also love to shop and give gifts to my family and friends. It's another thing that makes me HAPPY!!

Wow these are all stunning Lisa, love the first two mostly for the embossing and the die cut on the second. So elegant, both of them xxx
