1. Have you ever been 'asked' to report for jury duty? Were you chosen to serve? If not, were you happy or disappointed?
Yes, more than a couple times actually. One time I made it as far as being chosen for the small group from which a grand jury is chosen. But alas, I was released from that group. I think they notice my spouse is an attorney and they 'let me go.' Oh well, they don't know what they're missing. Or maybe they do. Ha.
2. On a scale of 1-10 (with 10 being very), how mechanically inclined are you? Give an example to back up your answer.
Hmm. Are we talking cars here? Cuz if that's the case, then I would give myself a big 0. Isn't that what the Hubby and AAA are for? If we're talking about the basic stuff around the house then I would say I'm probably a 3.5. I mean, I can change a light bulb. Mr. 19 and I put some of our deck furniture together a couple summers ago. That Ikea furniture is ridiculously confusing but I can manage it
3. Beets-cabbage-cauliflower-butternut squash....of the four, which is your favorite fall vegetable?
Oooooh Beets, for sure. I will most always order the beet salad if there is one on the menu. In fact just this past weekend I had a fabulous beet and dungeness crab salad that was so yummy!
4. What do you recommend to overcome self-pity?
Hmm. This is a hard one. I mean, we all need an occasional Pity Party if for nothing else to realize what we have to be thankful for. That alone should do the trick. I find that if you get up and get active like organize or clean something it takes your mind off things. Then again, a good ol' pity party is sometimes just what the doctor ordered. As long as the attendees realize that's what it is.
5. Do you enjoy classical music?
Um. Well, it's not something I would pick but I don't mind it.
6. October is National Book Month...what's on your reading list this month?
Wow, October has a lot of Causes on it's shoulders. I don't have a list but I intend to get something or download something before our coast to coast plane rides so maybe I'll get an idea from all of the Hodgepodge entries. Thanks Joyce!
Apparently the neighbors down the street have decided to clean up their side yard the 'natural way' and now have no less than 26 goats doin' it for them. Cooper was interested.
8. Insert your own random thought here
I am having the devil of a time deciding what to pack/take on our trip. The California part of the trip is no problem. New York on the other hand, is giving me I'm off to take some
I'm just sayin'

Enjoy your trips!!! I loved New York and plan on going back.
26 goats? Wow! There goes the neighborhood. :)
Your trips sound fun. Hope you get through the packing stress... I usually find I pack too much. God bless, and bon voyage!
Goats? That's different. We have a lot of animals but so far no goats. They'd likely be eaten by the bear : )
I'm off to the airport...daughters are home this weekend! Yay!
