HAPPY 4TH OF JULY EVERYONE!!!
Interchangeable Bottlecap Bow Tutorial
Supplies Needed:
(if you click on the word - you can see where I got some of my supplies)
-Hot Glue
-Mod Podge & Brush
-1" Circle Punch
-Scrap Paper
First you are going to want to make a Basic Boutique Bow from Girly Things. Follow the link to get the tutorial. When you do the center of the bow, don't make the knot in the center, just wrap the ribbon around flat. I dressed mine up a little with the loops and the criss crossed ribbon in the back. You can basically use any bow you want! There are a
bunch of other bow tutorials on the Girly Things website as well.
Once you have your bow made, then you can start making your bottlecap for the center of it.
Take a piece of scrap paper and punch out a 1" hole.
Take a bottlecap and paint Mod Podge on it's top only.
Place the scrap paper circle on top of the bottle cap and turn over to press it down securely.
Turn bottlecap back over and seal the top with more Mod Podge then let dry.
While the bottlecap is drying, glue your magnet onto the center of your boutique bow with the hot glue. Make sure it settles straight.
Once your bottlecap is dry, then you can stick it to the magnet on your bow and you're done!
Make multiple bottlecap centers to switch out on your bow and change the look.
I couldn't get my daughter to look at the camera and stay still, but this is a picture of her wearing her beautiful bottlecap bow!
I'll be making more of these to sell on my Enjoi Me Boutique Etsy Shop, so check back soon if you'd rather buy one than make one!
