Beach Cover Ups

 More often than not 

a trip 

to the beach 

is guaranteed fun. 

It usually involves 

sand castle making, 

exploring, 

and lots of swimming.  

 Then when those

trade winds kick in 

the girlies 

tend to get the chills. 

So, I decided 

to sew 

a couple of cute 

towel cover-ups

for them. 

I found two beach towels 

on clearance for three dollars.

 Gotta love that. 

I  then used an 

old cover-up as a pattern. 

Once I got the initial shape then 

I just eyeballed everything else  

and made up some fun designs.

I added hoods for warmth 

and protection from the sun. 

I added ruffles for the little one and 

 a pretty flower for the older one. 

 They fit well. Not too tight. 

 Anyway, we are not at the beach today 

and yet they are wearing them right now. 

I think they like them...which is good. :)
