Did you come from Pinterest? Hi! Welcome!
Looking for the pom-pom pen tutorial??
New tutorial HERE.
Another quilt market-related post ...
Megan & Heather asked me if I could make a few pens "cute" for their booth -- ya know, for sign ups, giveaways, and what-not.
Of course I had to use fabric so here's what I came up with.

The next night I made these ... all in red/white to match my logo, of course. I managed to make about 40 in one night. I should have started (thought of it!) earlier.
I knew I wanted to take my biz cards with me to market, but I knew I wanted to put something with it -- so people might remember me better, or whatever.
I punched a hole in my card and gave them to people like this:
I need new cards -- to include my blog address!
Did you get one? If we met at market and you're stopping by my blog, by chance, please say hi! :)

p.s. This tutorial shows basically how I made them -- except on a pen instead of a headband!
Maybe a fun idea for a teacher gift -- paired with a cute notebook or notecards.
There are millions of fabric flower tutorials in blogland ... I'm sure any of them would look cute on top of a pen.

Thanks again for the baby gifts, I'm in love with them. Thinking about you always.
Did you do the pom pom part the same as the tutorial? How did you get it to stick on?
Super cute idea! Love it!
Dang, those are adorable!
You never cease to amaze me with your creativity!

@ Missy --
I basically just put a glob of hot glue in the middle of the pom pom and stuck it on the pen -- hot glue will make anything stick! :)
Fun pens! You really can get creative with themes too :)
very cute pens!
These were most definitely a hit, thanks for doing some for us!!
Ooooh I love this! Thanks for sharing.

Love these! I can't wait to make some! Thanks for sharing :)
How do you wrap the pens? These are soo cute! Thanks for sharing!
These are adorable! Thinking about making them as party favors for my daughter's bday party. How did you wrap the pens? Soo cute! Thanks!
@ Kristy - thanks for the question! If you look at the tutorial for the headbands, I did it the same way -- just a narrow strip of fabric maybe 1/2" or 3/4" (no need to measure perfectly) -- and just wrap it around with the occasional dab of hot glue.
Hope that helps! :)
Do you still use the two strips of fabric for the flower tops like you did on the headband? Also, it might just be me but the flowers look different when you compare the pen top to the headband flower was there anything you did differently? These are so cute and I can't wait to use them as gifts! Thanks so much
@ Jessica - I hope you get this. I tried to reply to your comment but there's no blog or email attached to your profile.
No, I used just one strip of fabric for the pens, but I'm sure you could do two if you want two different fabrics.
And nope, I didn't do anything differently -- just the photos I guess. Depends on how you "fluff" them up at the end maybe? :)
let me know if you have more questions!
Super Duper CUUUUTE!! Out of curiousity, what kind of pens did you use? Click pens? Thanks!!
I know it has been like six months, but I did get one of your pens. I saw you at Joann's on Friday and was hoping to get in your line. I am glad that someone pinned thins on pinterest so that I could find you after all this time. I blog over here if you want to stop by.

If you are having a hard time remembering e I wan the one that you recognized and I kept saying "no really it is from the Joanns" "that is where you know me from I am always there"
thank you for this GREAT tutorial!!!
Did you simply hot glue the flower to the top of the pen, or did you attach it with thread during your running stitch?
